Thank you for not pretending like the Reese is some super difficult patch. You show the easy version, and then expand on that, with the cliff notes on the side. Well done!
one of the best tutorials ever made notice how he's not trying to sell you any dumb preset that makes the whole video? good work my g I will be using this a lot.
The best serum tutorial i have found on youtube, the step-by-step on the left side is briliant, please never stop doing this kkkkk Greetings from Brazil
Thank you so much for these videos bro, any chance you could do some more dirty sound design with ablutions stock plug ins , please? People say they are well capable of it but not seen many decent tutorials of this calibre. All the best.
@@audiostuff9065 I just got serum too, partly because of AHEE And yeah Reece basses are fun in any synth, but it has so much potential for unique stuff too
@@timothyjack5794 The implied sentiment doesn't make me wrong lol. If this is the video that finally sold you on serum, hold on, I'm going to fire up a garage sale real quick.
Thank you infinitely! Just got your pack Area 51 not long ago and loving it! And you just so happened to be the first video to pop up when I searched for this info! Coincidence?! I think not! Hare Krishna God Bless! :)
It does matter quite a bit, and is one of the most common issues with stereo basses like the reese. What will happen is the out of phase bass notes cancel each other out when smashed down to a mono mix. Generally, a good way to save the bass for mono purposes is to run it through 2 parallel chains (like I assume AHEE did here with his Ableton rack). The first chain is a low passed chain that passes through the sub and lower bass frequencies (I usually low pass around 250Hz) and uses a utility to "mono" them. The second chain lets through the mid bass and higher frequencies and leaves them fully stereo (or even boosts their width). What you're left with is a nice fat reese bass that generally won't phase cancel when it's mixed down to mono.
Having a text file in the background with notes so we can follow along is genius.
For real

You had me when you turned off the sawtooth wave and it was just the electric toothbrush. I cracked up. So good!
Reese is one of my all-time favs too. Great job, nailed the base sound right away. Extras nuggets were nice too. Thanks M8!
This is by far the best reese bass tutorial on a VST. By the end of the first minute, it has one up on all the others.

I hope you get commission because you've just inspired me to finally take the plunge and bought serum.... 🤘🤘
I hope you know how to use a synth because you could do this with any free VST. It's an extremely simple patch.

So is everything by default quieter in FL Studio? I do the same stuff play by play and the sound is just... Less loud.
The Fruity Limiter is on by default in fl studio
I got 9 Reese basses outta that, THANKS!

Does phase correlation matter with reese basses? Or maybe that's the point? Are these going to sound like shit in mono?

So its a saw doubled down an octave scooped to avoid phasing and ran thru an oscillator and you just modwheel the speed cutoff okay next.
That last one was making me physically sick. Lol cool though
How to remove that wobbliness?
хороша сыворотка
❤️❤️❤️👍
Just the way Jesus would’ve wanted it to be. Thumbs up
the script is real
that was 2 patches not 7, bit misleading
