The kestrel feeds its chicks mainly with small lizards. There were also birds, insects and a few rodents. When female fed chicks with mice and birds, she blocked the view of the camera with herself.

If nothing is left, the others starve. They're not sick, they're starved. Very common in raptor nests. The further apart the hatch dates, the last hatched rarely survive in large clutches.
That first hatched kept growing, and snagging all the food... At 7:50, it looks like it got impatient and just ripped its smaller sibling up, didn't wait for it to die, just ripped its head off...
El mayor obtuvo la ventaja en cuanto se comio a la primer lagartija completa practicamente aprobecho todos los recursos y dejo a los mas pequeños sin nada lo que provoco que la segunda lagartija que fue otorgada al pequeño este no tuviera la fuerza para comersela de una como si lo hizo el mayor que no sufria por falta de alimento despues de eso y que la madre muere solo era cuestión de tiempo para que los demas murieran por inanición y de hecho el menor no habia muerto cuando sus hermanos comenzaron a comerselo, se dieron cuenta de que ya no tenia fuerza ni energias para continuar y aprovecharon sus nutrientes se puede ver como se lo comen con los ojos abierto y moviendo las patas.
