Don't use any type of de oiled cakes now in rainy season. Use a well drained sandy soil. Water regularly and keep the plant in partial or full sunlight.

yes you can remove and dry the rice husk in sunlight and keep it for future use such for preparing potting mix ,mulching etc

Ants do not affect the production of fruits, or vegetables. They are actually seeders of some kind of pests. Spray neem oil regularly over the plants.
