The Beautiful Iconic Legendary Trio Queens, thank you for all the timeless music and sweet memories. Rest In Heavenly Peace Ms. Pam Hutchinson and Mr. Don Cornelius!❤❤️🥰💯👑🏆💃💃💃🎤🎵🎧💽🎊⚘️⚘️😇🫶🙌🙏
Dionne Warwick's is one of the very first voices I ever became familiar with in my entire life from the mid 1960s when I was born. And I'm not just talking about singers. I'm just talking "voices" full stop. Don't Make Me Over came out in 64, a few years before I was alive and it's all I would hear. Didn't know her name or even understood what a name was hmmm....but that voice. I definitely knew that. Then when I was 11 or 12 I was blown away by Don't Ask My Neighbor and the Emotions' "sound" even though I didn't quite yet understood what musical harmony exactly was. Two of my favorite acts of all time. Thanks for posting.🎹 🙏
Best song! Dionne did a good cover but I love how the tempo changed and you knew The Emotions were gonna come out. My favorite slow quiet storm jam! Love The Emotions!!
Love Deions sagger I also like Nancy Wilsons version But that that 3 part harmony Is Best version Especially when the lead singer of that song starts her wineing voice Love the spin she put on it So lovely ❤️😍😭
@@obiephillips9174Dionne Warwick admitted in her own autobiography in 2010 that she has smoked cigarettes since the early 1960s. Her voice has reportedly lowered from mezzo-soprano to contralto from the 1960s to the present. She is currently 82 years old. This performance appears to be from the late 1980s to the 1990s. By then, her voice had lowered considerably. She still tours at 82 and her voice is lower yet, however she is still able to carry a tune, which is more than most.
@@blktenorHeavy smoking for over 60 years has lowered the voice of Dionne Warwick over those years. She admitted in her 2010 autobiography that she still smoked cigarettes at that time at the age of 69 close to 70 and at 82, there are still reports that she smokes cigarettes. That has purportedly lowered her voice from mezzo-soprano to contralto. However, at age 82, she still makes television appearances and tours and carries a tune with a recognizable voice. She has sold over 100 million records, the second-highest charting female singer in the history of music that is recorded for posterity.

Dionne knew how to jump in on the adlib but still give The Emotions their shine
Love The Emotions 🧡💃🏿

I love Dionne Warwick and gave my daughter her name
When they sang the line "Don't ask my neighbor" in that harmony, the crowd went crazy...!

Omg that was SOOOOOO good. Thanks for posting this. It just uplifts you.
I wonder when this was taped and what show it was from.
Small keyboard should say quiet storm.
Dionne wrote a lot of songs for people. That was a hit maker🔥🔥🔥. I give her her flowers and respect. She is a Elder in the R&B community now🥰🥰
That is not true. Dionne was not a songwriter.
What happened to Robert Townsend?
😍😍😍
Sow, Grow, Harvest! 🥂👍🏾
She performed at Howard. Some people obtained their degree there. Don't ask.,.
I just can't get into Dionne's voice.
Hmmm. Dionne doesn't seem to be in good voice here. She really could sing in the 70s!
@@obiephillips9174 and in the 60s too. I think she started going downhill vocally in the mid 80s. I blame cigarettes.
