I'm having an issue with my monitor, a not so old HP. As it only have displayport and dvi I'm using that dvi hdmi adapter like you showed. But when I turn it one the monitor says it the signal is out of range and need to be adjusted to 1080 60hz. By the image settings from the fire stick it lets me only set it to automatic. The only way I found to bypass that, was to plug the fire stick in a hdmi port from the tv, configure it to a lower resolution and without powering off, plugging the fire stick back in the monitor (if I plug off it will load in the standard resolution and I'll get the message again ). I was wondering if it would be other easier solution, even though I'm proud I managed to find one 😁

Hi, I have a Dell monitor with DP port, I bought a converter from dp to HDMI to connect my Amazon fire tv stick. But nothing showing up in the monitor display. It says "waiting for signal".
What if u don't have 3.5mm jack for audio? Can we use some converter like 3.5 jack to usb?
Ummm...the hdmi “splitter” that you showed WAS NOT a splitter BUT IN FACT an HDMI switcher which allows you to have two separate sources to choose from that Input into one monitor or tv. Such as “switching between a fire stick and Roku for instance. A splitter takes ONE signal and “splits” it into two signal outputs that would go to TWO separate TVs or monitors simultaneously. Please don’t carelessly tell your viewers things that are not accurate. I’ve seen a couple of your videos now and noticed that you do that and for someone that truly knows what you mean (I did) it’s no big deal but many people DON’T know and those are the ones watching and implementing what you’re showing them. This is not good because an hdmi switcher and splitter are TWO very different things that function very differently. If a person that does not understand the difference unknowingly buys the wrong adapter because they went by what you said then you are contributing to them wasting their money and/or having to make returns or exchanges. Please be more vigilant of this issue in your videos.

I use HDMI to DVI converter. No issues with video. The only issue so far is Audio. The monitor has speakers. But I guess the Audio is lost, or I am missing something. Can you please check on the DVI based option, if you can, or let me know solution for Audio. Thanks!

I have an LG monitor(22MK600M), I have plugged my Fire Stick via HDMI port in the monitor but could not Use the Volume Controls and Power On/Off button on the Firestick remote. My monitor doesn't have in-built speakers so have attached Alexa Echo via Bluetooth connected to the Firestick. What could be the reason and how to resolve this?
Your monitor probably doesn't have HDMI-CEC. Look up the specification of the monitor. There is no solution, except to change the monitor.

Not on PC. Connect it to your monitor or TV. Fire stick does not work on PC.

a pc isnt even required, you just need a monitor, a firestick and a vga2hdmi adaptor

Yes. Just add your fire stick into the hdmi input in your monitor and is ready to watch. Same as television with hdmi input. Nobody now use monitors with VGA and DVI inputs. The most monitors now in the market is with hdmi and display port.
Why would you need a DVI cable. Just plug it in to the monitor.

Its a monitor theres no way to adjust the volume without increasing or decreasing volume on the actual monitor itself
@@HezziPham yes I had that issue myself when I purchased the fire stick to use on my monitor. Only way to change volume what I heard is using the app or the volume controls on the earphone. Unfortunately mine were a bit like air pods so was useless. If you don't have speakers on your monitor just connect Bluetooth headphones or speakers will work
Guys buy the time you by all those adapters you can buy a cheap 20 inch TV lol for an extra few Dollars or buy a second hand TV. Plus many apps you can mirror of your phone and many you can watch right on line. Another option is to install Prime OS which is an Android OS on your PC

But if I put it to friends hdmi tv.. it works flawlessly..

Note: if the setting is 1080p it keeps restarting.. so i set it to 720p and from them.. fire tv logo comes and after thatwhen home page loads it starts to restart.. in rare cases it works and suddenly starts keeping restart.. this is only happening with rca converter

@@gbnvharish yeah, by default fire tv encrypts video signal. These generic devices cant decrypt. It it will trigger fire tv to restart..
