YES!! I was so thrilled to see a Save Me + I’m Fine reaction. These songs are amazing by themselves, but their messages really hit home when you experience them back to back. Everything from the music to the lyrics to the choreography is meant to tell you there’s nothing “wrong” with you. It’s ok to feel grateful to have supportive people to rely on but you don’t need to fear letting go or feel inferior if you are alone. The not-do-subtle connection to Fake Love is icing on the cake. I love how so many BTS songs are like puzzle pieces to a more meaningful whole.
Not only the lyrics are "reversed", so are the rappers. Most interesting to me is there is a segment of notes that are in reverse order. The notes you hear at the very opening of Save Me are the reverse notes in the opening of I'm Fine. You can hear this instrumental segment repeated through out the song.
I'm Fine is one of my absolutely favorites! I also think it is just so cool how they made it a companion/sister piece to Save Me. You already noticed the beginning sounds like Save Me, it's actually the same notes backwards! And one of my favorite details is that the rap line performs in reverse orders as well. Save Me is asking for help, I'm Fine is reassuring us that they'll be okay. But nothing in I'm Fine says that we shouldn't ask for help when we need it, or that we don't need love. It doesn't counter the message of Save Me, it adds a layer of strength and reassurance. 궨차나 is a really common word in Korean - it means "okay" or "fine" and they use it all the time. So it's neat to have it in both English and Korean in this song.

I feel so lost & alone & scared & hopeless. But listening to im fine just now, & hearing you talk about it as you did, reminded me that im fine. No one is going to swoop in & save me, or even help me/advise me, now that my husband is dead theres no one else, so i just have to be fine. Do my best, never give up. Its not like i instantly feel fine and confident rn all of a sudden, but it reminded me that i *can be* fine. If i let myself. 💜

I discovered I'm fine back during my darkest days when my husband had just left me and our daughter after 26 years together. I had just discovered BTS and was at my very lowest point when I found them. I'm Fine was my anthem. I used to whisper along to it like a mantra multiple times a day, despite being anything but fine. Eventually tho because of BTS I got through it. I'm Fine holds a very special place in my now purple heart.

Every ARMY can relate to feeling this overwhelming joy when discovering BTS stuff for the first time. 😊 This M Countdown performance is one of my favs because of how the choreo embodies and adds to the message of I'm Fine. And take a look at that ending pose...all of the guys are facing RM with their hand on heart, and RM is facing them. It's such a beautiful representation of their team dynamic. Chokes me up! Many, many times I've thought about getting the Save Me/I'm Fine logo tattoo. Still might.

I'm so happy you caught the change in choreography from individual to interactive. Not that many do. In fact just about everything is the opposite between the two songs: The main note segment is reversed, the order of the rap line, RM's verse even corresponds if read front to back in one and back to front in the other, the ambigram, etc. It's a brilliant example of the genius of BTS. And I couldn't agree more that they really should have made a MV for I'm Fine as well. Please consider looking into Paradise next - I think you'll find that the message is the perfect extension of I'm Fine. 💜

I'm catching up with your reactions. I have to say this is one of my favorite songs of theirs. One of my favorite things about this choreo is the very end. I don't know if you noticed but at the end all of the members sing "I'm fine" while facing rm. While rm is the only one look at them, meaning even within their own team they're telling him that they're fine, that they're okay. It's such a subtle thing but it's one of the main things that jumped out to me.

Jk was not suppose to sing i mean they could if they wanted to, but they need to save their voice. this is just a rehersal with mic´s so that they get use to it. also this dance is really deferent. a lot of ups and down and hand movements. alot of things could go wrong so they always practice like this first. but jk is singing always no matter what he is doing and Suga also has a really strong voice so he wont lose his voice easy but the others need to save it for the concert. they do have rehersals on stage and before with live vocals too. but here it was mainly jk who sang

I'm kinda mad at myself that it took nearly two years to find this gem! I'm going to blame one of those "guess the song" quizzes. It was fairly early on in my journey and I was a bit more .... intense (I've calmed down, despite what my teens say! 😂). The person who created the quiz used the beginning part of I'm Fine, so it sounded like Save Me (sneaky!). Of course I got it wrong. Lol! I don't think I intentionally avoided I'm Fine, but, when I came across it again, I instantly remembered it from the quiz. 🤦 Whatever the reason, I'm making up for lost time now! 💜🫰
