I sprayed this all over my yard, watered well with the sprinkler and fill new holes with the solution. The moles moved, stopped for about a week and now their back in the original area. I’m going to spray again and cont. filled the holes as the pop up throughout the day. Also, I made the mistake of getting the food grade castor oil for $8 for 4 oz. The health food store has it in the beauty products section for $13 for 32 oz. I’m on my second bottle. There’s a serious underground mole system in my yard so I assume I need to cont. the process for a while.
Don't you need castor oil pressed from castor beans by unheated steel rollers. This is the old-fashioned kind of castor oil which has not been filtered or washed to remove its foul taste and odor. The odor is the active ingredient in the remedy.
I tried this tonight after my neighbor complaining that I shoot my shot gun into the ground and lit my lawn on fire using the gasoline approach. I'll let you know if this tip will finally be the key
Was excited to try this concoction, and applied it to the yard. Was terribly disappointed when I saw the moles using this mix as an under-arm deodorant before digging new mounds. What's next? Mouthwash?
Does it matter for effectiveness if this is applied before or after a rain? Or do you want to apply it when no rain is in the forecast. OR do you want it to rain to go deeper into the ground? Thank you
1/2 cup Dawn Dish Soap; 1/2 cup Castor Oil/Mix several tablespoons this with a gallon of water and spray. That's what I heard. I'd love to know what "several" means. 3? 5?
It does work, the repellent granules also have castor oil in trace amounts. To get success, you need to use an insect treatment to rid the lawn of grubs to rid your lawn of their food source. Moles also eat worms.
How much soap did you ad? You counted, "one and two," on the soap but never said how much/each measurement was. Looks like a great treatment but don't want to mess up proportions. Thanks!
I had seizure sitting on site one cool night an I was on the ground from for 8pm till 3:35 am an when I came to a rat bit my finger an a mole scratched me an try to bit can I get rabies?
The mole will simply create another run next to the one with dish soap - so that's now two mole runs? more dish soap means three mole runs. Do you get what I'm saying? more dish soap = more mole runs. They will not die or go away due to dish soap as they do not have the mental intellect to understand your intentions. They will ?Adapt and keep going
Jock, Juicy Fruit gum was my go to to deter gophers for many years. It would actually keep them away for several years at a time. Then .... After I started spreading the good news on line and at local gardener meetings, about how well it worked (fifteen to twenty yrs back) the company, not liking their gum being associated with killing rodents, they changed the juicy fruit recipe and it no longer seemed to be effective. What I like about it, is it only killed one gopher, mole, whatever and they would leave. If the soap and castor oil doesn't work, I'll try it again, cause they are setting up villages under my property.
We used freshly chewed up juicy fruit gum, spit it in the holes and sprinkled molex on top of the chewed up juicy fruit and we found dead moles by the next evening on top of the grass.
too much talk, not enough information, how much to spray for every hole, before or after the rain? and what percentage of water, castor oil, and washing dishes soap, thanks
Thank you for sharing this! Im pretty much destroyed by seeing how many people are fine with murdering them in so many truly sick ways..I get the frustration..but dang.

Goodness, the snow melted and boom, tunnels everywhere!!! I'll try anything, because I will go postal when I plant up garden this season.

Wish there was a video of showing how to use it and showing them actually leaving. Just going off of people's words here :/.

Did it work?
@@petMonster28 no.
Only thing that finally worked is the poisonous gummy worms
thank you! did this work for anyone? I have moles EVERYWHERE
it worked for me
I appreciate the information, but exact recipe quantities would be helpful. Exactly how much of each?
The exact amounts are in the video.

For the moles to stay healthy, I'm getting the organic castor oil.
I use Dawn and water to get rid of aphids on my roses.

Do you know if your solution works for ants as well?
How does this do with dogs if they eat the grass? Ty
Thank you for your video !! Can’t wait to try it! Very nicely explained
How did it work , did it do anything any chances in your lawn?
I've got chipmunks all over the place, they ate my lillies and holes all in my garden I hope this works! TY can it be sprayed around plants
Question, does this hurt grass when sprayed?
1/2 cup Dawn Dish Soap; 1/2 cup Castor Oil/Mix several tablespoons this with a gallon of water and spray. That's what I heard. I'd love to know what "several" means. 3? 5?
?
Most castor oil is refined to reduce the smell. Does this still work on moles or do I need to look for unrefined?
Hope this works. I am at my wits end.
Did it work?
Me to and I thought they were just "attacking" me.
How much of the homemade mole repellent do.yoi.use in each mole hole
Find some thorny blackberry canes. Cut them off and stick them in their tunnels
The moles will leave and dig tunnels in your neighbors yard or garden.
I have voles and/or shrews. They don't seem to mind the castor oil.
How often would you apply this treatment?
had to sub on this one much love
How much water was that?
Thank you! I will be trying it this week. Can you spray the mix directly on the grass, or do you have to use water from the hose also?
Did it work?
@@hischild3759 nope:(
Does this hurt a dog?
Use pepper
Does this really works? can someone report back?

Does it matter if the dish washing liquid is fragrant free or not?
Nope! Either will work
Crafty Little Gnome Thanks! What exactly is the purpose of the dish washing liquid!
L. McDonald most likely to help the oil and water mix. If you just put the castor oil in the water it’ll stay separate
What is the measured amount of water used in the solution?
3 quarts
Thank you. Looks like the moles bred like rabbits this year. :-(
Two tablespoons of Dawn ? I must have missed it. Thanks for the tip.
3:10 adding soap

Get some juicy fruit gum. Tear it into small pieces and stuff it in the mole tunnel. They like to eat it but they can't digest it.

I'll let you come and eradicate them from my yard. You can use any method YOU want. As long as YOU do the JOB. Then tell me again who YOU feel.
I murder about 8 every summer lol
I'm guessing you live in an apartment so you don't have to deal with them or you live on the south where you might not have them.
For one thing the sound is terrible I got my phone turned up full blast and barely hear you
wow expensive
Not as expensive as calling an exterminator and then repairing the lawn.
Good video and advice; but soap is not naturally blue -- so this solution is not ALL natural
It kills them not a repellent
"all natural".... So what yer gonna need is DISH SOAP
Dawn dish soap is not natural.
Waste of money
You talk so much
