The squeaks in Morissette's voice to me feels like she's always on the verge (maybe just one step up shy) of transitioning to her whistle notes. That's probably why it comes easy for her. My impression of it is that all she has to do is just add a bit more sustained breath pressure and that activates it. I've forgotten where but I've seen videos of hers where she's doing those whistle notes even with her mouth closed lol

One genius thing about this song is the melody used for the word "wag" (huwag) which means "please don't" in english. The melody suits well to the meaning of WAG and the repetition implies so much of the meaning of the word to put in emphasis of the plead of the person.. asking for the other one not to go away from her. This pattern prepared a great scenario of begging as its message in the music. And this main part puts the gravity of the emotion of the song.
