So, Evade Extender isn't a necessity on a SA set? I can focus more on offensive skills then. Great run btw, Fatalis Force would've been a solid choice if it had better sharpness.
+Ruben Fortunato I don't think Canta used EE because of how well they knew the monsters and how close quarters the fight was. For me, EE is one of the skills I always need on SA simply because of the raw increase in mobility it provides for regular fights.
Hey canta what do you think about switch axe? I personally don't like it that much. Is a offensive weapon, but id way to offensive. No guard possibilities and slow mobility in sword mode. is like it was made simply for attacking forgetting about dodge :/
+nessilver it's all about positioning yourself to correctly in order to avoid getting in a situation where you have to dodge/guard in the first place. Personally, I've really started to like SA since I've dedicated one of my streams to just using it. While it's not the weapon I'd choose if I want to get shit done, I still have a lot of fun with it and it looks so freaking stylish to switch between the modes in a combo.
nessilver Evasion+2 makes it super easy to dodge things like tremors and most monster roars. If you are really good at timing even evasion+1 is more than enough.
that SA use a inmortal reactor ‘-_- how long it take you ti solo a raging brachy? i never find room for that quest and when i do everybody end up leaving the room cause the die :s
The fastest way I've found for immortal reactors is doing the achy brachy heart subquest. A GS set with focus, earplugs/rock steady, critical draw, quick sheath/sheath control. Attack honed seregios GS is enough. origami tim chang and akantorex have a video where you can get the subquest done in 30 seconds with minimal practise. Of course immortal reactors are mostly useless in this game. Lightbreak weapons are inferior most of the time.

Fatalis SA has shitty raw iirc and the blast element as well as elemental phial become useless once the monsters become apex, while Seregios SA provides consistent damage with its high raw and power phial
Thank you for the quick reply! What about the red Dara subspecies' SA? That has way higher raw damage than Sergios's, or its power phial still outweights Dara's o.o?
Power phial is a massive damage boost, even more so when you're fighting against apex monsters, which don't take elemental/status damage, so I wouldn't even consider using a SA without power phial. (well, it still kinda worked out in this video, but seriously, you could get better results with a power phial)

There's no necessary skills for the SA. Yes EE is nice but far from necessary

raging brachy is the only monster I'll use evasion 3 for, his explosions are bs since they explode almost a full second after the physical part of it
