I feel you. Avantasia is genuinely able to express some feelings I've had over the years that can't really be expressed any other way. They're difficult to explain, anyways. Avantasia genuinely changed my life, and I'm glad there are other people as moved by it as I am.
Absolutely breathtaking a masterclass in sheer brilliance from one of the most pioneering metal bands of all time. Clearly demonstrating that you don't have to have violent or extreme lyrics to create masterful metal. Lyrically instrumentally and vocally sensational.
At first I was a bit disappointed when I've heard the first songs, but after listening to the full album I just can say it's an absolutely great album. I think Tobias Sammet is one of the most underrated artists in rock music. Avantasia & Edguy do well, but they could do much better if they'd only get a bit more media coverage.

A circle jerk of smartasses that try to pat each other on the back to feel important. To me music is Not about that even though i like buying music as a physical product mostly because i dont understand how musicians are supposed to get what they deserve off of spotify and the likes. I realize this event has the opportunity to give eyes and ears to great music and recognize artists for their talent but ultimately I am too turned off already to care much what they nominated. Caring actually feels like giving legitimacy and by not caring until they nominate what i like I seem to be saying "you are right when we agree and wrong when we disagree" in other words i I say they chose right this time i legitimize all the times they were wrong. Sorry for the long post and for being a dick earlier. Feel free to tell me that while I dont care about the awards, absolutely noone cares enough about me to make it through this wall of text.
