This game as sucked me back in too. I did get the $25 expansions which sell for insane prices online. Everything fits in base game box. I didn't get the Orks set yet.
@@cunningwarrior1827 I've got one of the expansions, I need to pick up the other. I also got the Orks set for Christmas and it's just as fun, if not moreso!
After seeing your other video when you announced this upcoming playthru I ran down to Target and picked it up on sale. I also ordered the expansion from Barnes and Nobel. Great video thanks. These are my first 40 k figures
Cool to see a LP on this game, thanks for that!! Nice work! I think it's a great intro style game. The minis were part of the original "space marine heroes" sets that were released IIRC. The core game was originally exclusively from Barnes and Noble along with expansions, however the core set has been expanded for distribution to Target stores in North America and is still available, however the expansions are still Barnes and Noble, and I believe have been discontinued.
Great game! Hope you and the family have fun with it. Small rules thing: the necrons only spawn in a straight line from a node, so they don't spawn around corners.
It is a very fun, condensed pseudo-Space Hulk game. I came here to make the same comment re: Necron reinforcements; they only spawn in straight lines, not wrapping around the whole map. ;-)
"Thundercats of the chapters . . .", best description of those 5 ever. This game was my "let's check out the 40K models" gateway - unlikely to play 40K anytime soon, I picked up the Recruit edition as the most economical "get actual necrons" for the game option. With the new releases, Immortals should soon be cheap on the Ebay. Thought about the expansions, but acquired almost all of the minis through the blind box at the local FLGS.
Great vid Ash. This game seems cool. I like the little touches like each marine getting their own coloured die (they could have just thrown in some generic white dice but didn't). Also your marine getting telefragged and "It's like Dr. Mario!" had me laughing.
I find this game pretty fun, especially since I got it while during "lockdown" and didn't need anyone else to play against. It lets you scratch that itch to play in the 40K universe without needing a huge investment in army and time. I do like the Ork/Terminator game a little better than this one, though, but they are both fun games. Thanks for making a video for this. :)
For Necron Reinforcements, on page 8, if some or all of the adjacent squares are also already occupied by a Necron, place a minion counter in the next empty adjacent square along the line in that direction instead. Do not place a minion counter if you reach a wall.
21:34 - Space Marines can shoot diagonally. 24:49 - No cornering. Only straight spawn spread. No pushing too - if a row is full its done. 26:16 - No. It's ending on the next round (as stated on the card).
You can also try the game out in Tabletop Simulator. Unfortunately no one is selling this game in my country or in any other country nearby so i have to stick with that.
I love this game. I play it with my son all the time. Fast enough to hold their attention. Just hard enough to be suspenseful. The expansion packs are great. I have the Rescue one. I'm still trying to acquire the the recon one.
I was hoping that Cash was going to be playing this, with you adding rules' clarifications and camera work. :D Refused to cross the Rubicon Primaris? I'm sure that these guys are actually the 40k version of the Star War's Bad Batch. The components in this box look really cool; especially those nice looking deck of cards. The use of the different packs of cards to drive the campaign is an interesting mechanism.
This is such a good game. I would like to replace the necron bits with models n but they're never on the board long enough to justify the $4-5 per model
Sadly, these and many other amazing games are not officially imported into my cold, unforgiving country. Special ordering will be too expensive. Anyway, 'Space Marine Heroes' miniatures are just wonderful.
Wouldn't it make more sense to have the basic enemies be scarabs and flayed ones, since the necrons can't shoot? Weird to have primarily shooting enemies as melee only.
@@12neef Maybe, but keeping the lore internally consistent wouldn't cost them anything, and would better represent mainstream 40k. I just got a cheap copy of this on order, so maybe in a couple weeks I will have a different perspective.
Man, this game looks great, but its a bit small for my tastes. Good casual game for people that love 40k but don't want to play actual 40k, I suppose, though. I'll put this on my games to watch list, but I don't see myself buying that much into it, since it doesn't really have any interesting bits or bobs. If they had more than 3 dungeon tiles for the game, I would be interested in it, but as it stands, its a little claustrophobic for my tastes.
"Polishing his flamer"... oh my! in my best George Takai
"The Sarge is in the head; buffing his bolter."
This is the game that pulled me back into Games Workshop after 20 years. It's a blast to play with my kids.

Awesome! They painted up so well it’s kind of incredible

Great video! Looks like lots of fun. Looking forward to the campaign with all the painted minis.
This is such a great little game -- it got me to paint my very first Space Marines! Very fun painting a squad of skittles.

I was thinking the same thing, I think. If the counters reach a wall, you don't keep snaking around you just end it.
I'm so glad Cash is having fun with this.

I just got this to play with my 5-year-old. We have a blast. It’s impossible to find the Recon expansion. I’m hoping B&N will restock one day.
Interesting! Almost more of a puzzle game than a normal dungeon crawler

Thunder Cats Ho! I mean for the Emperor!
If anyone guessed that in 2024 this game would be re-released and reskinned - kudos to you !
Had my eye on this game for over a year now... to bad I would have to sell my firstborn to get it in Belgium....
This is super Space Crusade tho, and I love it.
I was thinking about picking up a copy of this if only for a better chance at those miniatures rather than depending on the blind bags
This is such a good game. I would like to replace the necron bits with models n but they're never on the board long enough to justify the $4-5 per model
Good clean fun
Plays great solo, if you're not able to get out due to the Covid. And my 9 year old nephew seemed to like it.
Is this Pariah Nexus Jr.? or Is Pariah Nexus Labyrinth of the Necrons Sr.?
Sadly, these and many other amazing games are not officially imported into my cold, unforgiving country. Special ordering will be too expensive.

This is for new players/ dont know anything about 40k so i doubt they would know about scarabs and wouldn’t care about the lack of shooting.

Just picked this up on sale for 10 bucks. Thanks for the video
Ash how many Necron models do you need of you want physical models? Thanks. Google isn’t telling me.
A box of warriors, Lychguard and immortals (10/5/5) and an Overlord.
Thanks so much.
This looks like a pretty cool game. It's too bad GW doesn't make these small games more available. Seems like an odd choice to not sell it everywhere.

Where is LOTR????
I'd say power rangers instead of thunder cats
hi dude. keep it real
Ummmm. I believe it’s age of sigmar week 😡🤬
