My friend a lot of kyrgyz people are feeling bad about this including me. Me myself personally had no problem with any foreigner before and now and quite respectful to all ethic groups, religious. And actually there were no problems before. Yes there were some minor problems or misunderstandings before but it is everywhere. What we think that some political group wanted to overthrow the government and same initiatives taking place in whole Central Asian region now. Loval people are shocked themselves but of course we have a lot of nazy stupids as well. They got a teacher a Russia who teached the people to have supremici bad example since we are all was part of the Soviet Union. We are still colony of Russia but Russia is loosing us. I hope and pray that situation gets better as the time pass. I would strongly recommend the Pakistani students to stay there rather than coming back. Thousands of Pakistani students stranded in Pakistan when China closed the border. So it's better to stay in Kyrgyzstan.

Yes, i am from Kyrgyzstan and i am kyrgyz. First of all we admit that what happened is very vad and unacceptable. Nazi behaviour is very bad. And i am really feeling bad as a mother for those students 🙏. Most of the locals condemn this violance and do'nt agree with what has happened recently. And now this how it happened: just some weeks ago there were an incident where indian workers have severally beaten one local and when he fell down they put a long stick into his ass(i am sorry for this word). People got angry and asked the police to react but it never happened, then we here kyrgyz people here a news that some Pakistani guy have harassed our two young girls, then we got a video of how Egyptians are brutally beating our guy and it goes viral. People are angry. And it goes and goes and shows on different platforms. And on that day the young activists gathers together asking police to react since they have waited for reaction and nothing happened, but unfortunately some groups of bad people (gangs) mixed up with those guys and started provoking for actions. You know may be they wanted to overthrow the government and percuing some personal interests. And then happened what happened. Police has come and stopped the violences. So young people were mislead and some of them were very nazi criminals 😡. So, people condemn this. Our government authorities have visited the students, our President strongly condemned this and talked that they will bring accountable each involed in this. PS: one more thing to mention: for us not all of us it is difficult to diffirinciate between Pakistani and Indians and Bangladeshi and even Egyptians were treated as Indians or Pakistanis. And some of you also might not be able to differentiate between Kazakhs, Kyrgyz, Uzbek people they just would call ys Mongols). So this is what i know. I hope that it is much better to understand now what has happened.

Also people involved in this violence should be punished to deter them from such hooliganism

But it seems that somebody is trying to escalate the situation between Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and many other countries. If you would be here, you would know that before there were no such cases. I am from that area. Nobody was raped and of course nobody was killed. I don't know why they are spreading these lies. Was beaten -yes, robbed-yes. Now the situation is calm Locals have no problem with foreigners. Volunteers have visited the students and brought some meals as they were recommended to stay indoors. All individuals involved into will be accountable. Most of the arrested. Authorities are investigating the cause. Most people do not share and agree with what young locals did. Not students are freely walking on the streets and there is no problem for them.
They are safe. Nobody was raped and no single is killed. The situation is calm and as usual. Foreign students are freely walking in the streets. No-one's harassing them.

Then egyptian students called 20 foreign students in dormitory and started fight. 20 vs 4, they used metal things to fight and almost killed 4 kyrgyz students. Some drunk Kyrgyzstani people broke into female hostels and harrassed egyptian female students..egyptian male students responded back and beat those 4 guys 3 of them ran away the last one was getting beaten up and that video went viral
Without context locals thought foriegners were beating a local and they started attacking the hostels in large groups and start beating every foriegner (indian, pakistani, bangladeshi, afghan and egyptians) by the time the situation was explained it was already too late..
