Trek really do have all mountain bikes bases covered! I agree with you saying that it’s best to see it as a really burly gravel bike. A bike i definitely would want to test ride.
I didn’t think flight attendant worked for a hard tail, it only worked on full suspension bikes when combined with the rear shock and crank. Excellent bike and I need this in my collection.
You can use it as a wireless trigger to open and close the suspension. I think to get the benefit of the fully automatic you definitely need a power meter not sure about the rear shock though. Really good bike, so tempted!
I'd love one of these bikes!! Just as a 2nd bike, for more XC/gravel riding! I have a Gen 6 fuel EX 9.8 for the other stuff!! In Australia, it seems like there is only the 9.6 version available.. I'm not sure why.
Hey Dan, I think you do the best reviews for showing off the bikes frames and colors. I like the way you present behind the bike and often show the beauty of the frame. The comparisons are great from gen to gen. I'm like you, I want many bikes that are great designs and paint. I currently have 20 bikes which 14 are Trek. Some of them I haven't road yet but just like to look at. I have a bike addiction... but only for very nice looking bikes.
i think the sweet spot is the 9.6. Here in Austria its 2500€. the 9.5 its 2000€ but you get the RockShox JUDY witch is a 30mm steel stantion. The 9.6 comes with a REBA witch is basically a SID without the charger damper (note that is the old REBA/SID not the square lowers) but still much more lighter then 2kg JUDY, and you get a XT/SLX drive and mt500 brakes. The 9.7 its much more expensive almost double at 4500€ and yes you get a SID and AXS but only 1kg less and i believe carbon wheels.
@stefanlukic7272 yes it's true. Judy it's entry level just cycling in the park, but with a look of a higher level fork like. I would never do mountainbiking with a judy.

There is a new update to the pod controller. They've made it more like a trigger shifter, meaning that you can use your thumb and index finger. I'm not keen on the two buttons either, been using it for a year now and it's still not the best (which is why they have another option I guess).
Dan! You sold me my Trek Dual Sport last year! I have been looking at a ProCaliber so you will be dealing with me again! I had no idea you had a YT channel....I am going to watch your previous videos!
Hi Rickie, thanks for watching my videos! How’s the dual sport? If you’re wanting to do more off road riding then it makes sense to go for the procaliber. The gravel round london is better suited to an XC mtb, plus you can ride the tame mtb trails.
@@DanEscapes hey Dan! Good to hear from you. Dual Sport is great and has been serving me very well!! I was inspired by your MTB adventures and want to give it a try so expect to hear from me as soon as I get a cycle scheme voucher! Keep the videos up…you deserve have more viewers!
I dont know man, it looks different but it must feel good as well, ie click with the rider. Then another thing that would prevent me from buying such a bike is how much the frame actually cost them to produce, if the margins are crazy high then I would not even look at that bike if I would look it from a product developer view of things.
I wouldn’t bring that hole in a carbon frame to a bicycle trail for sure… that shape looks like a fat bike…. IMHO the ISO speed on the old procaliber with that little suspension work just fine and way better looking.
I didn’t notice too much on the little time I rode on it, it still looks like it might have some flex on the descents when you’re standing, hopefully less fatigue on the legs.
I wont question function, but holy s, this is the ugliest hardtail I have ever seen in my life. Looks like women's bike with very low top tube, and its so thin from the side look its just ugly. But yeah, I suspect its on par with Scott Scale, Pinarello, Cervelo ZHT, Wilier Usma, etc.

I’ve tried the previous procal out this will be the same!! Such a nice bike!

Great introduction. I agree. Trek Procaliber 2025 will be the perfect Gravel Bike! I'm thinking of picking it up just for the gravel riding.
I really like this bike and so tempted to get!!
We would like to see some comparison video to like Scott Scale, Canyon exceed or Cannondale Scalpel...
If I can gain access to test ride the bikes would love to!
Jheeeez the new colour way looks clean af!🔥
It’s so nice!! 👌🏼
I have that red carbon smoke color on my FX Sport 5. It looks great in the sun.
I bought one 9.7 today. Can’t wait to ride it! It also came with the Pirelli tires. Maybe it rides like a formula one car. :)
Jealous! I still really want one but have a few bikes and not enough space. How has it been?
You’ll be faster than an F1 car
@@DanEscapes I was smiling throughout the whole ride.
@ I bet, I’m still torn between this and the supercal. Really want to try xc racing.

I would never go for Judy,Reba is the best quality for money on the market...

@artoutlawphoto I like SID most, but for the money you spend,Reba is a killer, absolutely the best balance...

I like the colour 😮 nice
Super nice!!
I wonder if the dropper post is bouind to take all the beating from the rear end, and to develop play in no time
Looks pretty slick, I do wish they would go to the t47 threaded bb
Great video, the bikes came out yesterday! When will the lone framesets become available? Cheers!

I'm not into the colour but love the bike
The bike is super nice!
It would have looked cleaner to have a straight top tube. It lookes like a pinarello. The old one with a bearing looks more durable too.
I dont know man, it looks different but it must feel good as well, ie click with the rider. Paint job is like a bowling ball.
I really like it! Should buy a matching bowling ball.
“IT HAS A HOLE! It has a holeeeeee!”
Not sure if it has a hole
I really find the Trek MTB good looking. But I must say the shape of the top tube looks like my Orbea Alma from the side.
Do you have the 9.5 Lava red size small in stock?
Unfortunately not, will keep you updated
The hole is to justify the price!
🎉😂
I am afraid its so thin at the seatpost may it wil crack with small jumps
It won’t 😅
😍

Does it flex while standing? The gen 1 & 2 both only flex while seated this new one looks like it works while standing?
I didn’t notice too much on the little time I rode on it, it still looks like it might have some flex on the descents when you’re standing, hopefully less fatigue on the legs.
Essa do vídeo é qual o tamanho??? O que achou da pedalada dela com a G 2 ???
PrORBEA-caliber alma
A wrap will never protect carbon from cracking from hard(er) hits, unless it's some sort of a thicker foam.
I have a Trek X Caliber 8. Should i upgrade to a Pro Caliber?
Are you a pro?
@RyanRKJ No, I feel like upgrading the groupset and fork would be less efficient than upgrading the frame, from aluminum to carbon.
@@kienfung3045are u a pro?
How do I get one of those? 😀
By spending your hard earned cash! It’s a beautiful bike!
@@DanEscapesBought a Supercaliber in '22 then a Top Fuel in '23.. I want a hardtail.
How much it costs each version?

What about Scott Scale?...
Frameset still weights a ton lol. Typical Trek.
