Bike ride to Malshej Ghat

In this video we are going to do bike ride to malshej ghat. Today we are heading to Malshej Ghat to experience the sky-scraping mountains, the thick clouds moving slowly on the green carpets, the winding road through the middle of the tunnel. Malshej Ghat with an average elevation of 700 m near the border of Thane district, 130 km from Pune and 115 km from Mumbai. The nearest railway station is Kalyan and as Malshej is the main ghat road, most of the ST buses ply from Pune-Mumbai. A day trip can be easily done by own vehicle. Malshej Ghat has a resort of the Government of Maharashtra as a flamingo hill, where you can stay. There are many things in Malshej Ghat that will captivate. There are trekking trails in the surrounding mountains for enthusiastic trekkers. You can see the Harishchandra fort high mountain range. Due to the dense forest at the bottom of the front valley, many wild animals live here. The specialty of this place is 'Rohit Pakshi' which is also known as FLAMINGO. Flocks of flamingos from Siberia come from July to September to pick up prey in the stagnant water in the recent fields of the valley. On the way to Malshej Ghat in the rainy season, you can see a waterfall falling from a great height in the mountains on the far left. You only have to go in the rainy season to see this waterfall falling into three streams. There are many incidents of landslides during the rainy season so most of the time the ghat is also closed. Pimpalgaon Joge Dam is a large reservoir that can be seen immediately after descending Malshej Ghat. Many people also camp here. This Malshej Ghat is very scenic in the rainy season and camping near Pimpalgaon Joge Dam in winter removes the stress from the daily grind.
