16:02 Lovely bit of Leicester accent there 🤣 Being a Leicester boy myself, I used to play down Willie Thorne's club in town in the late 90's and early 00's. Sadly, he had to sell it to Riley's in around 2002 to pay off some of his gambling debts. R.I.P big man.
Remember him commentating on parrot hendry match and betting £30 grand on hendry winning the match and parrot beat hendry and Willie had to congratulate him and as I'm a Leicester lad I used to watch Willie and used to see him in my local bookies still miss his commentary and whispering ted lowe
No, Willie was very good, full stop. Unfortunately he was never able to play his best snooker when it mattered most, which is what ultimately separates the great from the good.
@@elloello_erm nothing to do with the pockets ,in pressure situations Willie folded ,mentally very weak in comparison to the likes of Hendry and Davis ...snooker is full of people with all the talent in the world but no bottle when it mattered
Willie was a true master of break building Very instructive.
He just makes it look so easy when it's anything but.
RIP Willie Thorne, one of the greatest break builders of his day.
Imagine how many centuries he would get if he was around today.
What a Master of Break building ! A True Strategist and Artisan !
Love his Explanations ! Miss Him Dearly ! RIP Willie ❤❤
When i watch this i cant believe Willie didnt dominate his era he was that good. His positional side is so instinctive.
Awesome chap. Always liked his commentary. ⚪️🔴🟡🟢🟤🔵🟣⚫️
Excellent from Willie . RIP
Imagine how popular Willie's you tube channel would have been!

A lovely man and a beautiful player to watch. Yes, he's sadly missed.
Absolute legend
Note to everyone - he makes this look incredibly easy when it’s actually incredibly hard

Doug get the bastard colours out!
Too busy playing pocket billiards.
Donnie Dougelly
Willie was very good when edited
I've got him doing a practice 147 as well which I'll put up soon.

made 147s for fun....when on his own table where the pockets were the size of norfolk.

@@Gbonejohn1974I’d agree with what you said, but it doesn’t dismiss his opinion. willies own table was known to have buckets for pockets.
Miss his commentary
Stephen Hendry's kiss? LOL 🙂
Does the commentator not realise he should be getting the colours out for willie? Thicko.
Still played that break 10x quicker while explaining every shot than it would have taken Peter Ebdon to make a break of 8.
Ebdon would still be chalking his cue!
but not all breaks are the same
Willie and Doug made at least two demonstrations of this kind, the other one being a 147 demonstration.
Hello. Yes, I've got the 147 one as well but I haven't got around to putting it up yet.
