That 1928 Lincoln has a 2nd windshield for the owner and family, so they will be protected from the elements... the car was built as a chauffer driven limousine ✌️😎 Thank you for the video back in the day I grew up Saturdays in a sweet hobby store about 2 miles from my house and was just a few minutes on my Schwinn orange Krate 😁👍 This hobby store was loaded with my favorite models.... The movie monster's : Cool monster mini diorama sets with glowing parts there was The Wolfman, The Mummy, The Creature from The Black Lagoon & many others. Then my absolute favorites Racing cars Street cars and Gasser Drag Cars of any year. Thanks again for the video it brought back lots of great memories. ✌️😎
The Revell Willy's was based on a real show car, but they didn't replicate the electronic fuel injection, and Enderle hat. They comprised using Hilborn that they could share with the gasser variants. The Testors kit came in a period when Lindberg and Hawk lines were in limbo, so Lindberg was probably the source.
I agree with you Matthew on the 1/24 scale, you're not splitting a fraction in scale. The Bronco kit looks like it's missing the grill, but it's a Monogram the've reissued it quite a few times.
Those 40’s Fords are awesome 👍. I unboxed a vintage Monogram 65 Impala SS today. It’s well molded circa 1998🎉. The engine probably has a few miles on it. Probably gonna need a MCV crate engine.💃🏻. Fun video Matt , thanks for sharing your finds👏👏👏
I'm glad to see that the kit got to you safely, Matthew. Yes, I did give $5 for that kit! There's some absolute bargains at shows. Can't wait to see you build it up.
About 10 miles from my house, in Longview, TX, there is one of these Lincolns for sale. It's a coupe rather than a convertible like the model, and is all black. The car appears to be totally stock from the outside, but it features a Lincoln 460 c.i.d. V-8 engine under the hood.
The Revell 41 Willys prostreet is a completely different kit from either gasser kit. Stone Woods & Cook blue, SW black, or KS Pittman. Different frame, interior, suspension, wheels and tires, engine, trans, even the body. All different pieces. 4 different mold sets for 4 different versions of the same car. Side note: my grandfather's all time favorite car was gis 41 Willys Americar Coupe. Same car. In late 1942, he went into the Willys dealer to get some tuneup parts. The sales manager offered to trade him a brand new 42 Willys straight across plus gas stamps for his 41. New cars were under wartime price restrictions. Used cars could be sold for whatever the market would bear. He declined. When my mother was born in 1930, the family car was a 28 Willys Star Coupe. But after WW2, Willys cars were not available. So from then on, all his cars were Fords. I still have his 61 Falcon.
That is some really cool stuff. I purchased some mcv stuff I absolutely love it. I also got those nippers. I will never use old fashion sprue cutters again
Very nice stash add on. Cadillac, GMC, Oldsmobile and Pontiac all had flathead (side valve) engines. GMC until 1939, Cadillac and Oldsmobile until 1949 (although Olds had a flathead 6 available in '49 and '50) and Pontiac until 1955. Buick and Chevrolet never had flathead engines.Oct 7, 2018
MANY YEARS AGO, I had 2 of those Lincoln’s, that 32 ford and the remains of that Vantastic and the accompanying Boyd’s coupe. I can’t remember what happened to the 2 Lincoln’s, think I traded them off. Awesome video!
The FE on ford motors doesn't stand for Ford/Edsel. The FE stands for Freaking Expensive. LOL. The Vantastic Kit shares the basic build with the Boyd Smoothster and the Coupester. All three are 37 Fords. Enjoy the build. Chuck
The Dick Tracy movie was (supposed to be) the Big Summer Movie in 1990. It had a cast full of Stars, including Madonna acting and🎉 singing in the film. Despite all this, it ended up being a flop.
Adding to the Dick Tracy car comments: this was the first issue of the 5 window roof from AMT. the cars in the movie were slightly modified to remove emblems and logos for a more generic comic book feel. I built a movie accurate version of this car by filling in the sides of the grille, scratch building the wipers, adding a rear view mirror and running baby moons. I used a lot of spruce and putty to fill the seems in the roof to body joint. At the end of the day the model came out great.
The Flashpoint kit is a reissue of the TD's "CopOut". The Hemi in the Willys is a 392. The Ohio George is a '33 Willys.Testors produced Boyds Smoothster kit, which is a real car. They also produced 2 others based on it. One is the"Coupster" the other is the "Vantastic" which are kits only. They also produced Boyds Hauler which is also a real vehicle Boyd's shop actually made for Eddie Van Halen.
Regarding the 32 Ford: The street rod scene of the 70’s mostly ran Chevy small blocks because the breath well and build RPM very fast. Modern Ford V8s have caught up in performance potential, however.
The dick Tracy car is a 5 window and the yellow 36 is a 3 window same parts if you put the yellow coupe top on the dick Tracy car the door lines are in different location but it fits like it's made for it. I like the 1/24 scale better they seem easier, I can actually see what I'm doing
The dick Tracy car. Is interesting because the movie car are modified. The grill area on the sides have panels there so you only see the grill from the front. Also the wheels and tires look like on the movie cars look like they are from like a 1940s ford
Chevy engines are better than ford engines tbh kinda goody saying they aren't, especially with CUI VS CUI comps proving that ford could never get better flow down pat, or keep their blocks from detonating like grenades when they experienced more than 400 Horsepower, the closest they had was the 427 Cammer, and the 460 dove engine, and even then, they had tremendous issues compared to a 440, or a 454(or 502 OTC Chevy dealer engine).
Matt 32 Chevy Roadster is Quite Rare Today The Molds For it & 32 Sedan Delivery No Longer To Exist. A Street Rod Version Of the Roadster 21:03 Was Made for only 1 year too
That great. baçk when I was a kid these people from Ohio came down for Christmas brought me bunch presents, out ll gifts one was dick Tracy combo, machine gun belt pistol grenade hat scarf that best Christmas I had
That Monogram '32 Ford kit is a slice of modeling history - it started life as the "Little Deuce" originally released in 1966. GREAT KIT!!!!
👍🏻👍🏻
Nice haul Matthew and great products. Thanks
Thanks Sam!
I think the Lincolns engine should be a v12.
Cool models. 👍
Very nice kits Matt. So nice of the guys to send you these great vintage kits. Thanks for sharing and Enjoy your week.
Thanks Chris!

Lots of kits to add to your impressive stash. You got several of these older cars, which you like so much. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Michael!

The Bronco kit looks like it's missing the grill, but it's a Monogram the've reissued it quite a few times.
I'll have to check. Thanks
Those wheel and tires would be good for people trying to make 1/24th scale Hot Wheel cars.
👍🏻👍🏻

You’re welcome. I’ll see if I can squeeze your 572 in it. Hey, it came with an A/C compressor 😮. I don’t have to cobble together a bracket 😁🥳👏👏👍
I'm glad to see that the kit got to you safely, Matthew. Yes, I did give $5 for that kit! There's some absolute bargains at shows. Can't wait to see you build it up.
Wow! Thanks Gavin!!

That is too cool!!
The "Vantastic" is a Lindberg re-box.
If it was me I would put a 427 Hemi in it. Just me. Thank yiu for sharing these cool kits.
👍🏻👍🏻
Cool kits and great update 👍
Thanks Leon!
Ohio George willys was a AMT 33 wilys
👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome stash adds Matt.
Thanks!!!
I believe the 41 willys was originally the ston, woods and cook drag car from the 60's.
Willis is a modified reissue of the 2001 new tool kit of the mid 60s gasser. Nice kit so was the original tool.
👍🏻👍🏻
Very cool, nice kits!
Thanks Paul!

Thanks Carl!!
Beautiful kits enjoy them 👍🏻
Thanks!
Nice kits matt
331/392/426 were all the same family of Hemi engines
👍🏻👍🏻
Great video Matt, thanks for sharing.
Just built one by linburg
👍🏻👍🏻

Cool! Great info!
Cadillac also made 2 different V16s. The famous OHV VERSION, but they also later made a side valve V16.
Nice 😎😁
That Vantastic is 🔥....guaranteed head turner! Build it. 😅
👍🏻👍🏻

Lol!!
I picked up the Dick Tracy kit at an antique shop here in Colorado last year for $5.00. It still sits in my pile of shame.
Lol!! 👍🏻👍🏻
The sport touring is a dual cowl tourer. From my reading, they were fairly popular, in the '20s with those that could afford a Lincolon.
I'm sure they were very expensive!!
@@modelcarvideos5829 $4,000 plus. 1920s dollars
Running $4,,000 to $5,000 and up, in 1920s in dollars.
Lindberg made that kit...I have it
Cool!
Cool stuff. '48 Lincoln Continental Convertible had a 292 c.i. V12 only producing 125 HP. Power to weight made it a sled.
Lynburg
The Pepper Shaker '57 Chevy kit had the Latham axial flow super charger with 4 side draft carbs.
👍🏻👍🏻

Would the Bronco build into the little Mule from the movie romance in the stone
👍🏻👍🏻

No worries sir.
It is a Lindbergh kit
Cool! Thanks Dewayne!

Need to research but I’m pretty sure that 32 Chevy was an early MPC mold. They also did a sedan delivery.
Looks like the Bronco kit is missing the front grille off the chrome tree.
It was in the box I think.
Vantastic
PT Cruiser
🤔
😂 I laughed so hard on the Chevy comment. I am Ford to the bone!
Fk a ford Chevrolet Muscle
😁
I checked your website and it says it's under construction!!
Really?? Not sure why it did that
Vantastic: 👍👍
Me: brain starts playing zztop
Lol!!
Chevy never made a flat head. But GM DID. Cadillac made a flat head and Pontiac made a flat head straight 8!
👍🏻👍🏻
I would like to see a 3d printed lincoln v12. Lincoln did belong to ford.
👍🏻👍🏻

If Ford were better it would be cheaper due to scaling. The more parts made the less expensive it gets.
Just sayin'...
🤦🏻♂️
Matt its amazing how good a chevy engine is and yet it was cheaper to work on than a ford lol joke
