      It works both ways, though; you win some, you lose some, but I'd personally prefer Betfair to void markets where they see issues.

      Yes football is terrible sometimes for suspending markets just after a goal goes in and not unsuspending it......I trade a bit on +1.5 goals late on, usually around the 50th minute before I place the back bet so getting out after the goal is crucial......more than once the price has gone back out before the suspension is lifted and profit has gone.....must admit sometimes a second goes in as well before the unsuspension so swings and roundabouts....but then I don't have £6k stuck on one side and unable to trade out.

    everything looks so simple but reality is different if you want to win fair amounts you have to have decent stakes . Like everything in life some people are better at doing things and obviously your top of your game. Not everyone are going to have the same success or everyone would win ive tried and basically i am more better trying to find winners than taking small wins and you also you have to be more disciplined exchange betting.

      Trading is very different from traditional betting which is why people often struggle to shift from one to the other.
      I did do a video recently about trading with small stakes - th-cam.com/video/ImLrhC74pDw/w-d-xo.html

    Great vid as usual Peter - ‘couple of questions. How do you customise Guardian with automation to get all the columns you show on your Guardian screen. -ie: favourite, jockey, trainer -etc. Also, what do the columns RS - 1-2-3 denote? Hope they’re not stupid questions, Cheers

      I'm just looking at a broad base on that screen, number of runners, price of the runners 1-3

    hi peter
    I tend to do fairly well on short price favorite horse races, but when its a handicap race where all the horse prices are similar I tend to struggle, any tips on what strategy I should use? cheers

    • @betangeltv
      @betangeltv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Handicap races tend to be range bound so you would work within that range for small gains and repeat.
      I have done a few videos where I focus on this and talk about scalping. Which is ideally suited to handicap races.

    The biggest risk to your £1k is betfair’s IT infrastructure stability… or lack of.

      @@betangeltv I'm assuming technical errors will even themselves out.
      A few years ago I was doing a back to lay. I backed a horse at odds of around 12. The market didn't unsuspend after it went in play. Luckily the horse won and I trousered over 3 grand.
      I've had another good 'win' in the past as well. Although one time I did lose £1000.

    • @betangeltv
      @betangeltv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Personally, I'd prefer Betfair to void markets where there are errors. It's cheeky to turn trades into bets where they will get more commission.

    Don't send me any further notifications. After years of using Betfair, I used your software, and my account was frozen. To unlock it again ...Betfair was asking for so much info about me that I just gave up and closed the account altogether. I wouldn't recommend your approach to anyone.

    • @betangeltv
      @betangeltv  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's nothing to do with Bet Angel.
      Betfair and other gambling companies have been under severe pressure to tighten up on affordability, which is why they have asked you for a lot of information.
      There is a thread on the forum devoted to when this started and a deep discussion on its various aspects: -

    If you're talking about Big stakes, why not be more aggressive, sweep the order book, deliberately trade into the waiting money, move the market.

    • @betangeltv
      @betangeltv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I always work within the market rather than trying to influence it. Arbers and value bettors will have no qualms about taking money off a trader if there is value to be had.

    • @betangeltv

      Yes, I did mention it wasn't a massive negative, just something to be aware of.

    • @jahbulonjaja191
      @jahbulonjaja191 ปีที่แล้ว

      Exactly. trainers put on the headgear to make the horse concentrate rather than it looking around and getting distracted. it's not a negative in any way at all.

    • @betangeltv
      @betangeltv  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Headgear is OK for the race, but the RED hood has to be removed before racing. It's there only for the preliminaries.
