- Tangos de Granada, with René Heredia on guitar and dancers Cruz Luna and Rosal Ortega. Tangos are an old gypsy rhythm that is danced by the gypsies in the caves of Granada and in the part of Sacromonte which is called the Sacred Mountain and is right behind the Alhambra. These are very typical gypsy dances from this area in Andalucia.

Cruz Luna died young in '88. What a loss of an incredible dancer. There is another clip of him dancing at "The Old Spaghetti Factory" where the Beat Generation read poetry etc.

THANK YOU for posting these. What year are these performances from? I saw Luna Cruz dance a few times at a night club, El Bodegon, in Edmonton, Alberta, in the summer of 1969. I am trying to find out who was with him. The advertisement mentioned group of 5, direct from Spain, but no names aside from his. It was amazing. I would have gone more often, but I was a young university student with little money. (The night club went bankrupt the next year.)
Cruz and I worked together many times. He has since passed away about 20 years ago
