Service Call: replacing fire rope on a c250

Join me as I replace the door gaskets on a customer's furnace. I am adding a silicone layer to the face of the gasket to make it last longer and give it a tighter seal.

Do you use hi temp silicone before the rope is put in? And regular silicone on the outside of the rope that will go against the firebox/ash pan?

@@dish7921 We use regular 100% silicone behind the rope, but high temp if it's on the face of the firebox door rope where the flame hits it.
