Congratulations on your first video, and I hope you have a safe trip. Funny that when you live up there you tend to stay away from all the touristy stuff. But now that I live slightly to the west I head up there more often... might have something to do with the twisties on the way up on my bike lol
Yesss that's so true hey! There are so many things I did in this video that I wouldn't normally think to do as a local. So glad I did though, it made me realise how important it is to be a tourist in your own backyard sometimes :) Such a gorgeous region too! Phoebe x

I would so love to go there to see the rainforest and the winery. I saw plenty of Uber drivers in Gold Coast. Might be able to get there, but so worried about getting stuck on the mountain without a ride. May have to do Uber schedule or get lucky with one that stays nearby.

Mount Tambourine is my favourite place in the world. The creek side lodges at cedar creek lodges are a must! No wifi or mobile service down at those ones.
I didn't realise how much it's changed on the mountain! There's SO much great food and drink up there :) It's such an underrated spot! Thanks for the tip on the other lodges - it's great to get away from wifi for a bit. Phoebe xx

Congratulations!!! I think Matt gave you the best advice, and it looks like you did just that! You did an amaaazing job!!! And I’m not just saying that, it’s so true. I am excited to see what’s to come ahead because I’m a solo traveler and it would be great to see vlogs that are your style of travel. I can’t wait to see you explore other countries solo, such as Patagonia, Africa, India, … such places I’ve been wanting to go to so badly, and wouldn’t mind solo. But boyfriend and family have discouraged those destinations and instead direct me to “safer, solo female places” instead. My last solo travel was to Istanbul and I loved it!

I'm 35 now :) I wanted to travel and realised I couldn't work a 'normal' 9-5 job and travel or do what I really wanted to do with my life so I decided to try and make my life about travel! It was the best decision I've ever made.
@@travelforphoebe your very lucky you don’t have to do 9-5 job but for myself I just save my points on credit cards and travel on flight discount or free. And work night time job to get by to travel. But honestly never thought you are 35 still look young and pretty but happy travel .

After watching this video, Erin insisted that we follow in your footsteps and go to Tamborine. This meant we had to rent a car and I had to drive on the other side of the road for the first time ever-felt like I was learning how to drive all over again. And, as you know, I had to do this on a winding, narrow mountain road that made it all the more…exciting..😂.
But it was worth it.
Witches Falls had excellent wines and an incredible ginger cider. We also stayed at Cedar Creek which was the absolute best place we stayed during our entire epic trip. Waking up to the sounds of all the birds and the sunrise was incredible (got to hear kookaburra, but never saw any, but we did see numerous rainbow lorikeets and cockatoos). Enjoyed a charcuterie and wine in the jacuzzi just as you suggested. The Skywalk tested my agoraphobia but was worth it. And Coffee Plantation was an incredible lunch. We ate on the patio right behind where you were sitting while drinking coffee with your sister.
We cannot thank you enough for this video, Phoebe. I can only imagine how stressful it was for you to make it; your first solo video. Know that it was, at least for us, worth it and we are so very grateful that you did.
Thank you for guiding us to the best part of our best vacation ever.

Oh my gosh Rob! Driving on the other side of the road is crazy! Good on you for giving it a go and that drive up to Tamborine is serious business too so that makes it all the more challenging 😎 hahaha yesss the spiders are no joke huh! I was staying with friends in London and they were shocked when I grabbed a small spider by the web and moved him hahaha
Great episode like always phoebe. May I just say traveling with you seems like so much fun. Great accommodations, great food, good coffee, and some adventure sprinkled in there as well. Haha! Been riding up there with my mates for so long its not funny on our way to Canungra, I also work up there, putting up marquees for weddings etc...never thought of stopping😳
