The Currumbin Sanctuary used to have lots of the rainbow lorikeets to feed and they would land on your head and also they had plates that used to go around and they would feed on bread with water and honey and used to also be hand fed because they were so used to people going there - they must have discontinued that part of the show and also they used to have kangaroos that were baby ones everywhere - the kangas they have there now are so well fed they just sleep.

When I first moved to the GC I lived on the lake near the Currumbin wildlife sanctuary. We had a yearly pass and everyday I would take my first born daughter there and walk her around in her stroller, it was the best backyard beside the beach. I love watching you both experience so many of the most precious things and places that I have. Keep up the great work 🎉❤🦘

I was born and bred on the gold coast but now live near Brisbane. There's about 40 kangaroos on the golf course near our place 😊😊

yes the water dragons are everywhere in oz and also they did not have monitor lizards which is interesting - probably because they are poisonous. They are much bigger than the little lizards.

If your going to Australia zoo is definitely worth booking a guide for the day. You get driven all round the Zoo in a golf buggy. They take you to areas not for the general public. Also the VIP seating in the crocodile stadium.

Visit our National parks . You will see them in the wild . You can contact National parks and wildlife services of each state and they will tell you where to find them . The South coast of NSW , Jervis Bay have kangaroos especially at Green Patch . The sand on the beaches are really white and the water is crystal clear .

Looks like you didn't experience the best parts of Currumbin Wildlife Park. The snake show (audience participation) and feeding the Rainbow Lorikeets (twice a day) again hands on, or really hands out holding a dish of food and you have up to a dozen landing on your dish, arms and head.

How much Vegimite is needed behind your ears to stop a drop bear attack? Does it work or is that another Aussie joke and Vegimite really attracts attacks. I've heard yes means no in the Australian language, is that true? Do the flies really pick you up and fly you away to be used as a host for their young young to feed on? Most importantly, is it safe to poke a funnel web spider with your finger or is that another set up?

I love kangaroos but hate seeing any animal in a cage. Private school people, such as these two, have a hateful attitude towards animals despite their cheerful exterior. It is unacceptable that schools produce people with this outlook. Of course, people can change themselves and Satan will 'catch up' with all of them.

By the accent they don't sound like Private (Public) School Graduates. Private (Public) School graduates have a certain accent in the UK.
