    Do you have any questions about these tires that I didn't cover? Ask me, and I'd be happy to answer!

    Just ordered Vittoria Mazza 2.4 (F) and Martello 2.35 (R). I can't wait to try them out. I mainly do hard packed trails but plan on traveling around Texas trying out new trails so I wanted something that could handle a little more diversity of trails.

    👍👍 nice review. It's great to hear someone review tires other that Maxxis/Schwalbe/WTB

      For sure. Lots of good tires out there, but you've gotta try them out. Always a gamble though!

      Yea it's a bummer on the size options. The new Graphine 2.0 compound looks like it'll come in a 2.6 which is great. Would love to give them a shot.

    thx for the review, I won't get these that's for sure, they wear way too fast for how much I ride. I am currently using Maxxis and usually tyre last me two seasons, I swap tyres for went and muddy, use the mud tyre Shorty, and High roller 2 in dry and Schwalbe Ice Spiker in the winter. but with Maxxis I am killing the bead so in second next year the tyres start to have worn bead and the tyres get warped. this has happen with several tyres over the years I also have tree wheel sets, so I swap wheels and some times I get varied use of them. so can't say exactly how long I used each tyre, but I know the bead never outlasts the knob with me riding them. So I need a tyre that performs as long atleast.

    Wow! They do wear quickly! Kinda reminds me of Schwalbe tires. I thought they gripped well, but they don't last long and they are pricey. If you could afford it, they would be good for racing, but not for casual riders.
    Never used Vittorio mtb tires. I've used their road bike tires, though.

      They actually lasted really well. You have to keep in mind the terrain I mentioned in the video. A lot of the terrain is basically like riding on asphalt. So 4 weeks of 80ish miles a week on asphalt and that's how they looked. Pretty good considering Maxxis I've had look like that after about 2 weeks on the same thing. Hence my suggestion on using them if you have loamier dirt and not just rock or rock overtop of rock. I think their biggest weakness is sizing though.

      @@JamesStoup Makes sense. I was riding on a lot of rocky trails. So, I knocked off knobs on some trails.

    I miss these tires. I might go back to them. We will see.
    Yeah I think it’s the brand, they wear fast!

    Nice video, to be perfectly honest the music was a bit louder than i would prefer. Any way very informative video well done. I have ebike 27.5 x 2.8. and i am searching for the gripiest heavy duty tyre out there for front. I have tested untill now Minion dhf exo, and WTB vigilante. Vigilantes high grip (softer available compound) and the minion was the stock tyre that the bike came with. WTB was absolutely fantastic and ages ahead of Maxxis. Would you suggest this Vittoria tyre for front? Any chance to have tested yourself the vigilante? If yes how would you compare those tyres?? Thanks alot

      Thanks for the feedback. The durability of these lasted longer (riding rocks so basically concrete) but I liked the vigilante much better. The issue with the vigilante was once the sideknobs started tearing they were super sketchy and basically needed to be binned. Vigilante's seemed to me to be a good all around tire, but not aggressive enough for a front as what I need. The verdict would be a better option for me and then vigilante or judge in the rear depending on rolling resistance. I'd definitely steer away from the vittoria's here. They weren't bad, just weren't that great for my use case. I'm running e13's now and love them, but don't think they come in a 2.8

    Great review, i dare say i don't ride as much as you so they would definitely last me longer, seems a good option :)

    • @JamesStoup
      @JamesStoup  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You've also got mud so even longer lasting. I'm basically riding on concrete.

    Does is measure true to 2.35 or is it narrower. I need a wide tire for my fat ass,

    • @JamesStoup
      @JamesStoup  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol, I didn't measure it (no calipers) but it looks fairly wide. Definitely wider than a comparable Maxxis.
