She mentioned Paulie B. And that made me think how wonderful these street photography/camera journalism and camera reviewers co-exist and acknowledge each other. Really lucky to live this period of time, great video.
gives me hope for the future, while the industry may be slowly dying when it comes to camera manufacturers, the culture, art and community has never been stronger, which are imo the more important elements
Wonderful conversation with an amazing creator! The LX3 is amazing ❤️. The files, the 24mm on the wide end, the manual controls, the hot shoe, the lens (ooo the lens), and the wild low light performance makes that camera amazing. Still use mine frequently going on 15 years later. My favorite camera though is the Fuji X-Pro 1, that 16mp sensor is special.
Great conversation! Thanks to both of you @snappiness and @OneMonthTwoCameras. Thanks to both you I'm lost in the rabbit hole of old cameras and obscure sensors :)
Man, I remember when she had 1.6k subs and would talk about the mysterious Kodak Sensor. She is likely the #1 reason why I paid an extra $50 on the seller's inflated hype price (on my Olympus Evolt). Thanks Ali... :p
I was trucking along fine and dandy with the cameras I had until I saw a video on "one month two cameras" about the Canon 1d. She called it a unicorn and she wasn't kidding.
James and Ali have done a great job of giving me sympathetic G.A.S. My paltry collection of 8ish cameras has blossomed into a cornucopia of 150+ cameras and 400+ lenses. And sometimes I even find time to shoot some of them!
@@snappiness I'm technically cheating due to duplicates 😋. I'll have to whittle it down at some point. Your enviable collection is all about curated quality in quantities that actually make sense.
I first experienced the old-camera trend several years ago, where the Fujifilm F20 was recommended. Bought a used one but only used it sporadically until its internal brain fried itself. It was OK but I never saw any magic with it. After that, both my sister and my wife were each wanting "a new camera." These would be their last, having mostly transitioned to smartphone photography by then, and totally disinterested in having to deal with memory cards and computers.. I nevertheless picked out the ZX-1 for one, and the LX-7 for the other. Both are keepers but neither really get used very much. Every era is a "good era," in context.
Christmas has come early. My two favourite TH-camrs in one post. Thanks for a great post without feeling that someone is trying to" influence you" or sell something. . Love the older cameras . Thank you James and Ali for all your time and enthusiasm.
I like her. She's cool. We seem to have very similar approaches to photography. However... @33:15 I assume she said more, because I can see that you edited out part of what she said about the "reasons" it's tough @33:33... It's ironic that she started talking about photography bringing us all together and how in this day and age common languages can be tough... because I subscribed to her channel to hear about her camera/photography related stuff. I unsubscribed after hearing political comments a few too many times (and with increasing regularity). I don't care what her political views are. I like her approach to cameras and photography. But, while I don't hate Italian food, if I go to a Sushi place and open the menu to find that they actually sell Italian food, I am going to leave. Because I am not there for that.
Oh thanks! My 2 most favourite channels in one!
Agreed. 2 of my favorites!!
💯👍🧡
Same!
She's the best :)
same❤
She’s very inspiring, humble and a true lover of the craft. Shout out to those Flickr days!
You two have been the biggest source of inspiration for me the past few years. This mashup is so cool to see. ❤

Started digital with a flip phone lamenting I didn’t have a fancy DSLR and today I’m happy with the LX3 because I don’t want to carry a brick.
A “Dad” photographer. I’m gonna steal that, perfect description!!
It's not so often you get all this neatness in one location! Very cool collab!
I've been watching both of your channels for a while now, and I'm so glad you guys finally got to sit down and talk for the podcast!
I love her channel because she can put amazing shots out of any camera.
Really enjoying this video/podcast. I'll have to listen to it again over the holiday. Thanks and thanks to @OneMonthTwoCameras for sharing.
That was great! Thanks for sharing your hang.

I see here a tremendous Pentax video with you guys exchanging K1 and 645s for a while.
I mean i never ever tried any of those either :) 😂😂
I was waiting for you to ask Ali what her daily carry camera is..!
Hello guys, happy to see you both. Follower of both your channels here. Love the blonde hair. It's hot! Just simping. LOL.
