And saurav had his best years of batting til 2001 when his form started declining because of captaincy pressure. But Sachin actually ended up with avg of 44 after playing more than 400 games & saurav ended with avg of 40 which is brilliant. And 1996-2001 was a great period for dada and Sachin.. The gap finding ability of both of them was unparalleled. So both great players.
if sachin played in today's time with two new balls from both end means no reverse swing, field restrictions, smaller ground's, 20 overs of powerplay. no bowlers like mecgra,pollack,donald,warne,wasim,waqar,murli,vaas. he could have made 7 to 8k runs more in odi. u can also check Sachin odi average in later stages of his career,he didn't had that much pressure nd scored freely.
