I did the same as you and opted for the swim skimmer. Mine works well but I don’t trust leaving it on permanently as it will be running happily for a couple of hours then just decide to lift itself out off the water but all in all I’m happy with it. I also tether mine down in one corner. Really enjoy your videos well done mate👍
I attached a spare piece of cable to one of the anchor point on bottom of skimmer and used to posistion skimmer in pond , no problem with lifting out of water now , Ive also seen others place a weight in basket which seems to work
Great little skimmer, mines been running for 4 years, with no problems. I would advise you to clear any build up of foam, as this seems to slow the flow down. Stay safe and well 👍🏻
Thanks Steven, some people have had problems with the unit raising out of the water. But the unit has been running for a couple of weeks now and it hasn't happened to mine yet. Maybe it's just the way I've tethered it? Thanks for the advice and all the best.👍Nick.
You should have gone for the Bio sys one, would have enabled you to piggyback on additions filtration from the pump! You can never have too much filtration!
Yes , I was thinking of retro fitting a Oase BioSys skimmer plus. But as you see in the video I was concerned that something may go wrong. So I opted for the Oase swim skim 25. 👍 The plug and play is much easier.
Hi mate if you drop some filter floss in the top basket it will also help polish your pond water.
Cheers, I'll give it a try. Thanks.👍

Never had it lift out of the water yet but it's only been a week. I only turn it off when I'm feeding the fish. Thanks for your support.😊👍
That's the exact reason I ended up stripping it down and just using the pump 😂😂😂

@@MrSmithy63 I hear what you're saying mate but you shouldn't have to do shit like that though 😡😡😡, 👍👍👍

I agree, never too much filtration.👍
Good work. Seems to be a good solution. Did you ever consider an in wall skimmer?

Seems to work better than the wiltech version I got that fed up with it that I stripped it down and just used the pump 😂😂😂
pleased with it so far👍Cheers for watching
@@pomfretspond588 that's sweet but like ardaz said I would keep an eye on it or maybe put it on a timer 👍👍👍
