Thanks for the video, very helpful. I would add that you need a 10mm socket to remove the panel and to be sure not to remove the two adjacent T25 torx screws as they hold the airbag in place. And to remove the power to the light, you have to find and press down on two very small tabs on the side of the plug otherwise the cables will not come out. Same with the power to the motor, there is one tab that you have to push to be able to remove the power cable.

You can plug any kind of 12v accessories including phone chargers there. There is usually 4 on every BMW. There is even another on the back seats, also one on the trunk.
@@close1561p I guess im pretty dumb, how do you remove the plug at 1:33? I've pulled with all my stength to the point of pulling a muscle.. wont budge. Tried to push in on the clip but it seems already pushed in.

On that car the original just start working intermittently. Some internal connection start failing.
Do you have the link to where you got the fan ?
It was from rockauto.com. Don’t get one of the cheapest ones. They don’t last

What is the cause of having dark spot and clear oil stain under the blower? Is it electronic module failing or blower itself?
The oil is the lubricant the electric motor use. If the blower’s motor gets dry, can overheat and that can create a dark spot.
hi my 428i is not working blowing in one vents, is the central console driver side one, the others is working perfectly, any advice?
In that case one of the conducts must be disconnected. The car doesn’t have more than one blower.

My dumbass figured it out. I was pushing the pin from the side, but jamming something in from below made it fairly easy
