Firstly, The score matters to get selected in any IITs as all EE,EC,IN specialization competes for VLSI...
For RA to get call score varies from 610-650+ depending on year to year(general category).
After you are shortlisted, you have to clear the written test followed by lab exams or interview....
The competition remains high for VLSI branches.
