The Slanted team visited Amsterdam and was drawn to the city’s century-old “brown cafes,” enjoying their cozy ambiance and old-fashioned decor. Amsterdam’s design is colorful, serving the masses with innovative, modern, and functional designs spiced with humor. The city’s canals and neighborhoods are dominated by black cobblestones and dark brick, but with vibrant orange, red, and black hues. In its 41st issue, Slanted features Amsterdam’s brilliant minds with interviews, essays, illustrations, and useful tips, providing deep insights into their work and values.
