Love your videos Adam! This was is a great help among many others. Writing a book which requires the insertion of many pictures. Now I know what I can do to make them look their best.
I'm glad you like the videos Donna! I am happy to help. Best of luck with your book. Remember in Word to always put large, high quality pictures for best results.
Thank you for your video, it was clear and precise. Can you insert graphics the same way? I need to do a document that has graphics on the left side of the margin and also a picture inserted across the page on the right side of the document. Can you help?
Hi T.S, I'm glad you enjoyed this video. Yes, you can insert graphics using this method. You can also edit or change any of the graphics already on your document.
Hi Adam. Thank you for all your tutorials. They have helped me so much! Is their a way to type a word on top of the picture? Also can you do a tutorial on how to do a mail merge?
Hi Francine, Thank you for watching my tutorials, I am glad they're helpful for you. You can insert a Text Box and type the word, then move the word on top of the picture. I'll attach a link to that video below this comment. As for a mail merge, I still have to make a video on that. It's a good idea, I know many people need to learn it. I will record that one relatively soon, but I'm still behind on other uploads.
I know that there are word processing documents and Page Layout Documents. I downloaded a page layout design for a resume. I've filled in all my text boxes. In the top is a little oval box with a sample of someone else's photo. When I drag my photo over to replace it, the photo appears to cover the whole page under the text. When I tried to drag the sample photo out, the graphics around the little box moved with it. How can I keep those graphics while replacing the old photo with my own? They seem to be locked together.
Try this: right click on the photo select FORMAT PICTURE from the popup select the option that looks like a can of paint being spilled click on the LINE option choose the radio button for SOLID LINE select COLOR of the border that you want from the drop down menu voila, border appears
Hi Maryanne, Yes, if you're using Office for Mac then you should have no problem. The graphics are inserted and formatted pretty much the same way. I hope this helps.
You are welcome too, I try to watch as many videos of your to look for the tutorial that I need :-D Still prefer yours than the others, no offend to the other professional tutors, but I found yours are easy to understand. I can only listen to some simple English :-D
Yes, my tutorials are meant for beginners, for the most part. Thanks again, and if you have any questions, please write a comment. Also, if you find a topic I haven't covered, let me know and I might be able to do a video on that topic.
Hi Joyce, They will move around based off of the text that you input this. If you don't want this to happen, click the Layout Options button to the top right of the picture and choose the 'Square' option. As for the disappearing, that is unusual and you're probably removing them manually by mistake. I hope this helps.
Hi Neeraj, This video discusses how to insert an Online Image in PowerPoint, but the process is the same for Word. After you choose Bing and search for the Word, click the Filter icon and choose Clipart. This will only bring up Clipart of the images that you searched for, I hope this helps!
Hi Deborah, Here is how you complete that step: 1. Go to the Insert Tab 2. Click the Online Pictures button 3. Type in the search box 'Physician Symbol' 4. Pick one of the pictures where the physician symbol doesn't have a border around it. Once you choose the picture, then edit it on the following steps.
Adam would you do a video on OneDrive, and how to add the folders and how to add our homework assignments. Thank you.
Sure thing Cari. I'll create a how to use OneDrive later today. It'll be in a Video Requests Playlist. Thanks for the suggestion.

You are good, but I can't find a way to add a border to my photo in Word 2016; there is nothing under Picture format. What am I missing?
Try this:
right click on the photo
select FORMAT PICTURE from the popup
select the option that looks like a can of paint being spilled
click on the LINE option
choose the radio button for SOLID LINE
select COLOR of the border that you want from the drop down menu
voila, border appears

Hi Neeraj,
This video discusses how to insert an Online Image in PowerPoint, but the process is the same for Word. After you choose Bing and search for the Word, click the Filter icon and choose Clipart. This will only bring up Clipart of the images that you searched for, I hope this helps!
Entering a web graphic is on page 337 step 2 and 300 step 2
The sizing comes out weird with the attribution text.
Hi Deborah,
Here is how you complete that step:
1. Go to the Insert Tab
2. Click the Online Pictures button
3. Type in the search box 'Physician Symbol'
4. Pick one of the pictures where the physician symbol doesn't have a border around it.
Once you choose the picture, then edit it on the following steps.
Thank you but TH-cam is cutting off the important part...editing the photo.
This one covers the steps from chapter one. Check out the A and B sections of chapter three in your book to see the details on editing the photo.
