PPC Cement stands for” Portland Pozzolana Cement”. Pozzolana is an extender a supplementary cementitious material used to enhance improve the strength and durability of the cement. The word Pozzolana comes from the word 'Pozzoluana' which is a form of Volcanic Ash.
Durability: OPC Cement is less durable in aggressive weather as compared to PPC Cement. Costs: OPC Cement is costlier as compared to PPC Cement, which makes PPC a better option for your residential constructions.
PPC can be used for Concreting of Heavy RCC structures. there is no restriction on grades of concrete upto which it can be used.

I have started construction in district Mandi Himachal. After seeing your videos, I asked Cement dealers for OPC Cement. But all the dealers of that area refused to provide OPC . They are keeping only PPC cement. Is there any reason for non availability of OPC cement. How can I order OPC grade 53 cement for slab.

Now a days of good brand cement it is equivalent to OPC 53 grade.
Our heritage forts and houses built with lime mortar are intact even after 500 years,,then why opc with high lime content can be inferior to ppc?

@@cementpdm thanks sir ji for replying,, please let me know,if using opc will be better than ppc for stone footing and plinth beam for my industrial shed, because I am planning to use m-sand instead of river sand,, because my guess is that, m-sand has already dust particles which weaken the strength,,so to compensate for flyash,,these dust particles will work as same,,
