I have a question sir, how can you be so sure that opc will not produce strength similar to ppc ? If you see their chemical composition, ppc only have nearly 40 percent CaO whereas opc has above 60 percent. If we blend them we can get desirable result , but single precursor can't make superiority. Apart from theory, I have determined their physical compressive strength at my site with a grade of M35 . PPC results very poor.
You have to select a source of good PPC. It is not only the percent of Cao which is responsible for strength development. In our country about 70 - 80 percent cement produced is blended cement and PPC is the mostly produced cement apart from PSC. These blended cements are better in performance such as durability etc as compared with OPC.

IS 269: 2015 is a single Indian Standard for OPC and all the requirements of previously existing 33 Grade OPC (IS 269), 43 Grade OPC (IS 8112) and 53 Grade OPC (IS 12269) have been merged into this standard. Please provide upto date information.
