  • In this video, we show you how to remove the front passenger seat in a 2000 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer. This will be the same process for the 1997-2002 Expedition and the 1997-2003 F-150. The only tools needed are a 1/2 in ratchet and extension with a Torx t-55 bit.

Great video. I like the step by step but more importantly I was looking to see what tool could be used in place of the mortorq bits. You covered what I needed most. Thanks!

thanks for the video, I followed your video and got the front seat out, but my panel show an airbag sign, is that normal? thanks

If your seat has an airbag in it, that would be normal. I don't believe ours did.

@@danielwilson7572 lol never seen a seat with an airbag in it!!!

Working on newer vehicles, an airbag in the seat is standard. There will be a tag in the stitching on the side toward the door that says "airbag". But our 2000 didn't have those.

@@danielwilson7572 where? In the back of seat? To protect the next row of occupants? The airbag light illuminates Bc unplugging creates a fault. Based of what you are saying if you get a crash and airbag deploys now you have to buy a new seat.

Would a bench seat fit from a 92 f250 into a 2000 expedition? Or would I have to get a bench seat from the same gen?

I haven't compared them, but would guess you would need same generation.

Does this disable the airbags or anything like that? I'd like to leave the seat out for a camper conversion

What's weird is with my 98 f150 a t55 torx is too small but a t65 is perfect

It’s because it’s not torx. It’s torx plus. Look it up.
