Just a note (saw this video today) in hindsight. Blood Angels, now they have a proper book, can replace twin linked heavy flamers with assault cannons, and you can even get a twin linked assault cannon on a predator. Yay.
Moritats can only shoot 6 times per gun.
Whilst the Land Raider door set is no good for a single land raider... the side doors are all you can put onto a proteus land raider... so you can get use out of those side doors with a funky FW model.
Since the Malevolence book came out, could you redo the video?
Solid advice here. You may want to look into assault marines for your troops as we can reasonably assume that Sanguinius will need some boys to keep up with him. They also sync well with our rite of war: day of revelation.
Blade of salty tears - as it stands you’ve quoted the rules as written correctly. However the wording will change to the intended ‘wounds do not carry over’. I know, I know, another dude on the internet relating something they’ve heard from the rules writer. But get used to using it in the way it was intended and you won’t develop a crutch for it in your lists.

I would just wait for the new models and rules, buying the "wrong" models now would be a pricy mistake.
Pretty hard to buy wrong when you buy tactical marines and rhinos. Just don't go overboard on toys.

Assault cannons far from overpowered. It's astounding at first and you imagine a wall of assault cannons but in reality it's not outstanding on any unit except the Javelin. Host of Angels reins in their ability to spam assault cannons on vehicles and makes the predator rite of war difficult to execute properly.
Death Company are brilliant upgrade kits for 30k there's lots of MKIV and III bits.
Sanguinary Guard are modified MKIV armor, and their wargear and armor is traditional since the days of the Horus Heresy so they're legit too.
The origin story of the Legion is a bloody good one, I've just read it and absolutley hyped it.

Going through your past posts about HH... always super useful resources. Thanks for your FREE work on the subject. More than one time, your posts & common sense advice on figures & legion building subjects. I understand why you’ve changed tack slightly & do not post as many angry/salty posts. I do. But I miss your acerbic wit& acid delivery. Macca, your salt IS missed. (And c’mon- look at the state of these snowflake/GW dick-kissing fan boys! Hahahaha. A small point on the land raider doors set - front hatch to land raider, side doors to a spartan or typhon cos they don't need front hatch. Rhino doors for MK IIb sides and rhino front plate to some predators that don't need the side doors. Get the right number of tanks and you're not losing out as much. Also, an incentive to get a typhon and some predators.
Heresy Blood angels specify in fast and rapid attacks that destroy the enemy in one swoop. I advise predators and rhinos in field with the rest of the army in fire raptors, storm eagles, drop pods and dreadclaws.
There also specify use of melta and flamers, so I advise a lot of melta squads!
Macca is right. Your gonna paint up mini's, find they're shit in one instance (zm for me) and your gonna need to paint again.
But what I found is painting for a team or a crew. Having a force where you have to represent, whether failing or succeeding, is worthwhile.
It's that definitive "do your job" that when you accomplish it, regardless of outcome, feels so good (though it feels better kicking dick, but that's icing on a cake).
Don't you think they should have another look at the older legions, considered certain additions to the new ones? I feel there a clear distance in value between new and old books. For instance the special BA destroyers: should't it be a fluffier choice for DG and IW? Or if BA lore suggests it, why didn't they got back and add something on the same line for those old legions? kinda power creep to me

Now you can’t substitute the Predator Infernus Flamestorm Cannon for an Assault Cannon/Set correct? It doesn’t have the Heavy rule, nor does it have “Heavy” in the name anywhere...

Regarding using Sanguinary Guard as veterans tactical space marines.. those can't get jump pack, or can they? I'm fumbling around with battlescribe and I don't really get it
Should I run those as veterans and pretend the wings and jump pack don't exist?
Is that kind of unit really appropriate to Blood Angels?
