Dude, just watch d your 7 part trike series...VERY COOL STUFF! The way you Fabbed up that front end & steering control was great.Really nice to see someone playin' with motors on bikes that can WELD for a change...👌 Im thinkin abou a little 2 stroke for my beach cruiser with a gigantic exhaust to quiet it & not lose much power gonna be interesting to see how much i can wring out & still be quiet...✌️
I picked a a Miami Sun brand new for #200. Big guy lived on a big hill bought it, not knowing how hard trikes are to peddle. I peddle it for 6 years, then I put a Ebikling 1200 watt, 52 volt, 20 amp hour battery kit on it, because I am old. I have no idea how fast it can go, because 15 mph is scary. I've been to 20 mph running my dogs. I've had it electric 2 1/2 years and it still get 40 miles Plus on a full charge. And it is quiet. Can't even hear it. I can ride it farther than my old body will let me sit on it. Great granddaughter's pup and I can do twenty miles together. He can run! Wouldn't have an electric car, but I love that trike!
if you're willing to visit eustis, fl. i would appreciate help in finishing my motorized trike. it's much like the one in this vid except it has seven spd. 3 of is easy to use but remaining 4 keeps knocking my feet off the pedals. more info if interested.
@@Billy-cs4cc what happens if i go camping and used the whole battery halfway there? no charge stations nearby but there maybe a gas station at an intersection. likely i'ld carry a 2 gallon can of gas.
A hybrid option if anything would be best, front wheel with regenerative braking, you'd have a battery that can run electric start or headlights from the gas motor, you can have charging and ac adapters, you need a battery anyways so why not just make a hybrid trike, recycle the energy with a front motor
I got the engine mount adapter plate from Amazon along with the sprockets for the jackshaft. The Jackshaft mount I got from BMI Karts. The adapter plate was $19, and the jackshaft mount was $39. You don't have to use them if you don't want too, it can still work without them.
I Seen A Guy Build One Similar...But He Put A Plank Wood Box On The Back & Put A Light Cab On The Front....Looked Like A 3 Wheeler Model T Ford....Very Cool!
I got the jackshaft mounting plate from BMI karts. As for the sprockets, OMB warehouse and Amazon. I got the spacers from a hardware store and you can use 1/2'' pipe as a spacer, its ID will accept a 5/8'' shaft.
I don't have bullet connectors, nor did I want to order some and wait a week for them to arrive. I only have spade connectors; they work the same and I needed to extend the kill switch wire because it was too short.
Sorry,i dislike this project.i tell you why? -The rear wheels are not two wheel drive, and no differential gears. -This type of engine(if two strokes)makes loud and ugly sound. -This trike will put me in trouble with road police, because it is motorized illegally.
I would've just bought a front wheel with a hub motor and controller kit. It's hard to believe that anyone would want to put up with that noisy, stinky gas engine these days.
Because these engines are half the price of an E motor. This build is less than $200, try doing that with and E kit. Also, these engines will last the lifetime of the bike. You'll burn out a couple hub motors to try to get the same performance of this gas engine.

very cool I love how you kept it simple Awesome video

Pozdrawiam z Polski. Super projekt 🚴
I wonder if you could add a band brake to the clutch...that would take some of the load off of the front wheel?
A fat tire set up would be nice it would b probably ride smoother at a moderate psi in the tires

If I ever visit Florida, we can work on it
You need something electric 😮

@@rick14377 i would most definately appreciate that. seem all the local bike shops are afraid of it.

Where about did your the seat? I am disabled the seat look fine!
The seat came with the trike, but you can probably find something similar on amazon
I am always curious how something like this would work WITH gearing. you take a 7 speed and drop a motor on it.

Carl Benz Junior, same thing, the very first car.

That's unfortunate because it's really fun
