- One year and four months after purchasing this Pioneer unit (four months out of warranty), it stopped working and showed this boot loop symptom.
The unit was repaired at Northstar Electronics Co. (www.northstare...) for $270. They replaced the SD storage card to fix the issue. As was explained to me, it is a proprietary SD card that is cannot simply be replaced with a regular off the shelf sim card.
My NEX started doing this too around a month ago. Makes me wonder if there was a corrupted firmware update that was pushed out or something. Irritating for such an expensive unit. I’m trying to get it replaced through Crutchfield or Pioneer’s warranty service.

Add me to the list of the boot loop issue with this car stereo.. on top of the issues that I've had since day one where it likes to disconnect in the same places out on the road due to some kind of interference on Android auto. They should have never sold this unit at all just too many bugs
Yep boot loop for me only it does actually sometimes work completely fine. It does it randomly for a bit and then just stops for a time and works good.

Add me to this problem yesterday it played well, and all of a sudden, it just didn't want to go past the next sign. I started to flicker to the point it went black 🤔

@skinny13472 Yeah, it sucks 😕 i got a friend who told me it cost around $200 to get the unit fix, it supposed to be an updated melware or something like that. If i get it fixed I'll post a video..
Oh well I’ll guess I have to pay, can’t afford to buy a new one 😬
Mine (4500NEX) just started doing this on 02/23/2023 exactly like the video.

I have the same problem as you. Where can I order the SD card. How can i remove the panel?
UGH this is happening to me . Can you remove the detachable face plate during this? if so can you tell me how. Super frustrated.
I purchased the SD card firmware from eBay for $30. I then cut a hole (SD card slot) and replaced the OEM garbage SD card that was corrupted. Unfortunately, PIONEER used a cheap SD card that doesn't last which causes the problem.

I have a 4500nex, bought 2 cards off ebay neither worked, bought a 3rd from Pioneer and still no change....help please!
I have avic-8000nex and it's doing the same thing. This unit cost over a band new I should not have these problems out of something that I use once a week 1

Mine doesn’t turn on anymore at all does anyone know how I can turn the radio back on? I keep pushing the power button and nothing it just stopped turning on completely

What fix are seeing? There is only a mild work around to access the back up camera.
Having the same issue and wondering were can I find a place to fix it here in the DMV? Anywhere i go they tell me that they don’t fix they only sell new/ one instal… plz help

I bought a card with the software off eBay unfortunately it was the wrong class of card (class 4)I bought a 32gb (class10) card and had the eBay seller install software to the card and then took it too Best Buy auto audio installers who did the work.

@@RiadhBaz This hack was specifically related to the avh-4400nex boot loop problem. I know nothing about the avh-4500nex issue. Sorry.
Hmmm what do ya know I bought this unit for $70 locally on Facebook a few months back, its been working great as of now though its just started figured I should've done it before I even threw this in but oh well aint gonna complain as much for the price
Mine too. Avic 970dab. What a crock of s**t. All that money for a good head unit.
Mine is away for repair but Pioneer are supposed to be top notch, well the prices are!

internal sd card failure , replace with new sd card with its operating system..
As per the video description, I paid someone to fix it. They replaced the SD card. It appears some folks, in the comments below, have a process for doing this yourself for much less.

I have the same exact problem I'm getting a internal SD card in the mail soon,,, I'll post a video once I get it i will post a video how to repair it... All these units will fail it's just a shitty SD card they put inside...A really crappy brand that's not even known... if your under warranty send it in... Otherwise repair it yourself for $25

@@gregallenphoto ebay,, a guy is selling it.. The operating system is the upgraded one 1.02 .. He's got like 50 or something sold and no one's complained so far... I'll let you know how it goes if I can copy the file somehow onto the Internet I could send it to you.... I just don't have a computer I only have an iPad pro...I definitely will keep you updated maybe I'll start selling them on eBay myself for cheaper
@@gregallenphoto me again There's a fix on TH-cam the guy has the file you have to download you have to have windows 10 and then download win 30 to file extractor and nurse to fight he has a file link in his description that works... so its free now if u can Get it download right i will post the link th-cam.com/video/Cro26vuoPHo/w-d-xo.html

Buyer Beware!! Do not buy Pioneer!! They are an inferior product and will not last. I had my AVH-W4400NEX a little over a year and it's experiencing the loop issue. We paid too much for a cheaply made product.

your internal sd card has failed...Only way to fix it is to put in a new one ,I have the same exact problem I will post a video how to repair it once I get it in the mail coming soon ,, subscribe to my channel I'll let you know how it's done...Unless you're under warranty

Mine just started doing this I have the pioneer avh-w4500nex model. At first the screen was black but I had audio then I saw a TH-cam video to reset and it was of no use. I get the exact thing as yours. I followed the link you posted in the description but don't think it works. Says something about not secure. I've had mine think 2 years already ugh.
Change the http to https, in the link, and you won’t get that warning
