Really cool Derek, been following since FLD many years ago. I just moved to New Hampshire and really have the motorcycle itch now seeing them all around with the open space to enjoy one. Funny to see you get one a week after I move up here, health and success to you!
Nice video man! Cool simple bike 👍 there some really enjoyable about the simplicity of these Xpro 125 bikes, reminds me of my old late 60s Honda Cub 50, just a simple fun bike to cruise around the town on 😊👍
Hey man put a 17 tooth front sprocket on that bad boy. I did it to mine and omg what a difference I gained 5 mph out of it and you can actually use the gears 3rd goes to 40mph now instead of 32 and your not at max revs in 4th gear doing 45-50 mph
I just bought the same motorcycle. It was dirt cheap $1179 shipped to my door. I haven't had time to assemble mine yet because it shipped 2 days before my vacation is over lol. Oh well it's gonna be a fun fall project.
This is a sweet bike makeover! I have the same bike. Done all the popular gear, carb and tire upgrades. Painted the wheels black, changed handle bar and added led blinkers as well. Is there a chance you can put some links down for the resistors? I tried doing the head light and I get the blinking problem. Thanks!
hey man sorry just seeing this, thanks! And yeah these are the resistors I got, not expensive at all and worked perfectly www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DJ6889C/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
A tip for next time. I’d highly recommend sanding those surfaces prior to spraying. Cool to see you use that wall spraying equipment, guess it does the job using regular water based paints, but again you could also apply more layers further away before doing a wet coat closer up (but not too close) and sanding that to remove the orange peel with high grit paper, wet and dry, before compounding and a polish. Bike looks cool anyways, I find riding smaller bikes a lot more enjoyable most of the time!
Hey guys, I used plasti-dip, no need to sand because the point is you CAN PEEL IT OFF, it's not permanent. So I can change the color anytime I'd like, but I appreciate the tips!
Man I was really wanting to start riding but was intimidated even by something like a Honda rebel 300. This is definitely what I was looking for. Super small to start. I’m buying one next week!
I would love to ask you a question does the back tire have an innertube and if so, do you know the size I have one of these and the back tire went flat
Fantastic little project! I really like the frame on these bikes, very retro like a Honda Benly. The red is very Honda as well, be interesting to see how the plastidip holds up! Hope for some more bike content!! 👍
You really took that junk looking bike and made it look super clean. Great job. Very sad you still need to do a motor swap or at least a full rebuild might as well port and bore out, better carb ,exhaust, replace all electrical components, complete new wheel sets and forks and brakes than you'll have a reliable bike. Oo and a better headlight and speedo.. Worth it doing it over time in my opinion that's me I LOVE to build (like over a year or so) but end of the day you could have gotten a old Honda or Yamaha that will last 200,000 miles
Well, if YOU'RE happy with it! :( *I think that's the worst 'paint job' I have ever seen. Sorry for the negativity.....but painting is not your forte, my friend! Just being honest.
Derek's DIY.. Nice....

It's called orange peal
Awesome!

That's some hardcore orange peel.

sanding, for sure....give the paint something to grab on to, or it will peel off.

Dereeeeeeeek!!!!!! How are you man???? Your a legend!
Great job ! That 125 looks AMAZING ! 👍👍
I've been considering picking up one of the 1K Chinese bikes, and doing something similar, just for getting around town. Very cool. 🤙
Man I was really wanting to start riding but was intimidated even by something like a Honda rebel 300. This is definitely what I was looking for. Super small to start.
I’m buying one next week!
It was a big mistake to not remove the tank before painting.
His standards aren’t that high.
Any chance you can add all the parts list you purchased from Amazon?
love the german licenseplate shirt😅 best regards from germany
I see a few other people with this model that complain about the gas capital leaking. Are you experiencing any leakage from the gas cap?
Nope, I’ve had zero gas leak
How many miles you put on it so far?
@@jimmyhaase umm I have to check but it’s like 600 or so…I really just whip it around the beach towns where I live in the summer
Once you said Ocean ave I had to sub and like . I was born and grew up in Long Branch then moved down South 👍
Why not take the tank off? Would’ve been waaaayyyyy easier.
I’m having the same issue with the blinkers on mines what resistor did you use?
What is the black plastic cylinder with the hoses coming out?
Nice fun
Well done mate, looks the dogs bollocks
With that paint finish you better be careful you don't skin yourself 😂
what are the link for the products you used ?
Always frosh, every dee
I like it
How did you take the seat off?
I would love to ask you a question does the back tire have an innertube and if so, do you know the size I have one of these and the back tire went flat
Yup they both have an inner tube, not sure of the size, but just look on the side of the tire

Thanks man, yeah it's a fun bike to whip around, get's a ton of looks!

You ruined this little Honda Super 90 clone.
Why? Looks great actually. Stop hating
