    For me, "Cloud factory" is their best album. Groovy riffs, smart lyrics. Masterpiece.

    The drummer in this video was the one that fell out of a window and broke his back and is paralyzed from the waist down I believe. I've heard in interviews that this almost was the end of Jinjer as I believe that year was also when the war broke out in their country....they were all kind of like "well now what???". Obviously they rebounded quite well. The drummer on King of Everything was basically a stop-gap (but still works with the band to this day) and then they found Vlad, their current drummer.

    I don’t think they have a bad song they are just different but recognizably Jinjer and love their classics as I call them

    You will find in your Jinjer journey that the old stuff still holds up well. While Jinjer had evolved, and improved Jinjer has never produced a bad song.

    The only Jinjer song with a guitar (and a drum solo) 🎸

    You MUST check "When two empires collide" for sure as a metalhead. The song from the album Cloud factory and more metal than they play nowadays. You won't be disappointed!

    Older Jinjer song that you will like "Outlander" Official Live Video (live at loadfest 3.0). Cloud Factory is my favorite older Tatiana song, but Outlander does hit harder.

    Also, interesting fact that the second guitarist that you hear on way early stuff and Cloud Factory left the band to pursue his acting career. He shows up as an actor in their most recent video (Disclosure!) so that's pretty cool as well.
    As to their new album, it is definitely more refined than their older albums and the intricacy of the song structures is way beyond what they did previously but you'll get very mixed opinions on the overall sound. I love the new album but to me, the Micro EP and Macro album is peak Jinjer to-date. But that's the great thing about music, everyone has their own opinion about what sounds good or resonates best with them, so don't be clouded by other people's opinions. So far, you seem to be 100% honest in your reactions. Thanks for that!

    They're working with the same procuder for most of their albums - Max Pasechnik aka Morton, I may be wrong but I believe Cloud Factory is actually the first time they worked together

  • @ZachComa

    Captain clock is way better if you watch the live version from resurrection fest, just fyi
    Edit to add: Tatiana joined Jinjer in 2010 and they really didn't start tearing up the metal scene until the release of "King of Everything" in 2016 and "Pisces" from that album really shot them to fame.

    They've always found remarkably awesome drummers. And gone through more drummers than Spinal Tap though. Or maybe losing drummers is a thing which is why the movie was parodying that.. I dunno.

    One of my favorite tunes by Jinjer. Cool for you to progress through the catalog in this way. The technical side of their music is what becomes evident as you get into the new stuff. Rock on🤟

  • @garycoates4987
    @garycoates4987 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Yeah man their older stuff, leans a little more towards the hardcore influence,,,but their musicianship has grown so much,, and even the more "melodic based" more recent stuff is just so good, it's hinted at in this song the way the second half shifts,, all I can say is when you get to "vortex" or "mediator"

    • @Killermcknight
      @Killermcknight  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Gary, I believe the hardcore influence was just a sign of the times. Back then hardcore or two step music was BIG. I understand this as a musician you see trends when you play shows. Like for instance the two step beat in a show was when hardcore kids would go dance violently. When I was in a band during that time we really made songs to influence that. I'm sure jinjer and every band catered to those trends. the ones who made it are the ones who could adapt like jinjer did....
