I've watched quite a few videos here and love your smile. Then I realised you had a million subs which I predict equates to 1% members/Patreon and now I know why you always smile! I love success, well done. Oh, I've played the piano for 50 years.
Thank you for watching. Numbers don't always paint the full portrait of the TH-cam experience. That's mainly why I wrote my book. I love my work on Patreon, but I don't have thousands of members. I smile because I love teaching. :)
Thank you for watching. I'll create more long-form grammar videos in the future. :) I've been posting some shorts on irregular verbs. Please take a look at the grammar playlist.
Thank you so much for your great lesson. I have learned more about the topic "Articles and Musical Instruments". Hope you can publish more lesson like this. Moreover, I watched some of your videos related to cooking and vocabulary about cooking. I'm glad to enjoy them!
I’d been wondering why the rule of THE has been found nowadays. Thank you for the lesson, Jennifer. English learners have encountered such a phenomenon several times!
Actually, I read an article about Andrea Bocelli with a private student recently. We noted how he learned to play THE flute, sax, and piano. Later in the bio they mentioned how Bocelling took up playing piano in bars (NO ARTICLE) to pay for singing lessons. I think with the phrasal verb "took up," the tone became more conversational and the music was in the context of something more casual, something he did on the side. It's so interesting to see the shift back and forth between with just one speaker or one writer. Thanks for watching!
Wow... Thanks for that mellifluous and soothing sound of saxophone music and I couldn't have got it on any better day than today, as it is almost valentine's day in here... 🎀🎀❤️💘 I also take this opportunity to express my gratitude and respect to you on this special day.. Wish you all the happiness in life... Happy "Valentine's day" to you my beautiful teacher!! Hugs.xoxoxo Gams 💘💘🌹
Hi Gams. I'm glad you appreciate good music. I love the sound of the sax too. It's wonderful to watch and listen as people pour out their love through their music. Returning all the good wishes to you. Happy Valentine's Day!
That was an interesting lesson. The definite article (the) is the most commonly used word in the English language. Bearing in mind that this word will always appear frequently in our written work, we should dispense with it where possible.
Wouldn't language learners love it if "the" simply faded out of use? :) How simple all our references would be. [The] question would be if our messages would be conveyed accurately without [the] definite article!
Hello ,Mam! We use indifinite article + singluar noun to refer to whole group Ex: A dod is a loyal animal. But for instrument we use definite article The guitar ...... But if I want to use A guitar for genric reference as I say A dog is it also be correct?
Generic references can use "a/an" + singular: A dog is a loyal pet. An acoustic guitar isn't that expensive. Generic references can use "the" + singular (sounds formal, academic): The anatomy of the dog has similarities to that of the household cat. He has studied the guitar for many years. Generic references can use the zero article + plural: Dogs are loyal pets. Not all guitars have six strings.
Tnx a bunch my dear teacher.... So, finally, I am wishing you a happy valentine's day and may you enjoy chocolates, roses, hugs, kisses, promises and all the love that there is... 🤗💘💕 Hugs.xoxoxo Gams, 💞💓💝
It depends on what happened. Did he photograph you or take printed photos from your collection? He photographed me. = He took photos of me. He took my prints. = He took my photos. He took some photos of mine.

Hello!
Hello ,Mam!
We use indifinite article + singluar noun to refer to whole
group
Ex: A dod is a loyal animal.
But for instrument we use definite article
The guitar ......
But if I want to use A guitar for genric reference as I say A dog is it also be correct?
Generic references can use "a/an" + singular:
A dog is a loyal pet.
An acoustic guitar isn't that expensive.
Generic references can use "the" + singular (sounds formal, academic):
The anatomy of the dog has similarities to that of the household cat.
He has studied the guitar for many years.
Generic references can use the zero article + plural:
Dogs are loyal pets.
Not all guitars have six strings.

I have some problems. Is have in this sentence a stative or an action verb?
🙏🏾🙏🏾
Sending out good vibes and beautiful wishes to you, RJ!

Fee free to ask a question. I have other lessons on articles in my grammar playlist. :)
Hello Jennifer, which sentence is ungrammatical??? A) he took the two photos of me B) he took the two photos of mine C) he took my two photos.
It depends on what happened. Did he photograph you or take printed photos from your collection?
He photographed me. = He took photos of me.
He took my prints. = He took my photos. He took some photos of mine.
Open mic what now? 8:31
Have you heard about open mic nights? It's when anyone can go on stage to perform and entertain.
