This is the most underrated tutorial of this on all of youtube, I tried every single tutorial of this beanie on youtube but found them all difficult. This was the easiest to understand, I made the beanie in 1-2 days(im kinda slow and a beginner so it might be easier for the rest of you who are used to this) highly recommend. You got a new subscriber
@@CherilynQ but i wanted to ask you, everytime I would make this beanie, the stitches would start decreasing and I've tried it so many times and it still does that. Do you have any idea why this happens?
Just few days ago found your channel , ngl you just taught me that crochet is not that much hard we used to thought !! Thank you so much elder sister ! 🤍
i just finished making this for my brother and it came out so nice! i chose not to carry the yarn and the result looks nice, i used a smaller hook so the eyes have a more minimalistic look. thanks for the tutorial❤
Literally js bought crochet two days ago and this is my first time ever making something I’m so happy it turned out nice. Grateful for your video, you explain things so well for super beginners like me😍
This is so adorable my grandson loves Spider-Man. Definitely going to have to try to make this. Thank you for sharing this. I am a new subscriber looking for beanie hats and you come up. I have a channel trail I crochet, but mostly baby stuff. 🤗🐾🐾❤️
❤❤❤❤Thank you so much for these great hat designs! I have used your patterns countless times! I am so happy you started a Ribblr shop I don’t think people realize how excellent that site is you don’t have to print the patterns 😊
Cherilyn, excellent tutorial! I found your pattern on Etsy after a request from my Granddaughter. Though I have been crocheting for years (better at knitting!), I had not tried tapestry crochet. Your illustration made this SO easy after getting the hang of it. And, I love the way you finished off the beanie. Keep sharing your patterns and techniques!!
I just found ur channel and I’m so glad I did !! ur steps are so detailed, clear and simple to understand. u explain the steps so well 💗💗 I’ve just subscribed !! keep up the good work and im going to binge watch all ur tutorials now 🫣
This is only for adults., but you can make it smaller by working less rows and stitches. When you reduce the row count, make sure the eyes are at the center of the panel.
Very easy, but I'm a little bit confused , Are we going to work on that chain 1 we do at the end of the row?? Did you do ur half crochet on that chain 1???
So I finally got to the end of this beautiful beanie and I just have a question… Why do you connect the first ten stitches and then flip it? What does that do? I’m so curious but I don’t hear an explanation in the video or see one in the PDF. Looking at it in the video, I’m not sure I see a difference 🤔 Would love your insight!
Hi! I think it's easier to understand if I explain this in a video, which I did in my latest video. You can find the explanation around the sewing part of the video.
I noticed that i did an even number of stitches for the first half of the red and you did an odd number which stopped my black from popping out as much because the black would be hidden behind 😢
why in the world would you start it on white if we were supposed to use red yarn? just wasted about an hour and a half’s work. maybe state that you’re using a different color for demonstration next time
Well maybe you could make it into a Gwen Stacy Beanie 💪 or idk maybe a cool white Spiderman that would look dope like a reverse venom!! It’s all cool though at least you got a little practice in before starting the actual thing gotta stay on the bright side of things 🫶
I just got this pattern and I am just getting to the colorwork. I just wanted to verify that the photo you included for it is different from the one you used in this video? So it’s actually showing exactly which rows to start instead of guessing based on where the brim falls? This is my first time doing colorwork 🫣
Hi, yes, the graph that comes with the written pattern shows exactly where you should begin the colorwork in each row, provided you are using yarn of the similar weight to the get the same size as mine. If you need to add or subtract stitches to adjust the height of the beanie, do it from the top of the eyes / left side of the graph.

I’m not sure. You can use stitch markers to help locate the first and the last stitch so you won’t miss them.

What do you do instead of carrying the yarn
How do you not carry the yarn? I can’t seem to understand that part.

Yay! So glad your first project was successful 💓
This is a really well done tutorial, thank you! I'm breaking out my yarn and hook right now to make this for my boyfriend's birthday.

What do I do if my second eye keeps going too high or too low?I can't seem to get it symmetrical for some reason.
Thank you so much I loved it 🫶🏻
I'm so glad!
thank you so much for this! so grateful ❤

Wow... amazing.thanks for this tutorial

Is there any way u can film the whole entire process of the eye part instead of one side? i’m having a little trouble following the grid pattern 😅

omgggg thankyou so much iam happy you made this you made my day : )
So cool! Would this be too big for a small child’s head? And if so, how do I make it smaller?
This is only for adults., but you can make it smaller by working less rows and stitches. When you reduce the row count, make sure the eyes are at the center of the panel.
hello ,can i use a 4.5 or 4 mm hook without changing anything
Muy bonito! Muchas gracias por compartir. Agradezco los subtítulos en español😊🥀🌺🙂
De nada. Me alegra que el subtítulo en español haya sido útil 🥰
WOW look great
Thanks 💕
Very easy,but I'm a little bit confused ,
Are we going to work on that chain 1 we do at the end of the row??
Did you do ur half crochet on that chain 1???
The chain 1 is just for turning; it's not a stitch, so work nothing in it.
does this tutorial work if youre doing left handed crochet
How much yarn did you use?
Can i still use the graph for the eyes wjen lm left handed? Cause the row 1 would start on the left side for me instead
Yes, I think it would work.
what type of stitch did you use for the rows and how much yarn was needed for the whole project? it came out amazing
Thanks! I used 104 g yarn and the stitch is single crochet.
thank you, will definitely make this for my nephew he's going to love your beautiful pattern@@CherilynQ
What size hook did you use
Can I know roughly how many balls of yarn is needed to make this beanie? Need to buy some new yarn 😅
Sure! I used 104 g yarn. Get a bit more that that just in case.
I’m not a beginner but I cannot for the life of me, figure this out.
Not my FNAF game literally playing in the background while I watched this
Anyone do the venom version? If so what colors did you use and did you follow the pattern?
I’m going to attempt to make venom using black, gray outline for outer eye edge and white. Wish me luck, I’ve never done graph work before.
I LOVE YOUUUU
Love you too! 💕
what if we use hdc? is that going to make any difference?
HDC is taller than SC, so the colorwork will be stretched horizontally.
Where did you bought this yarn ???

You're welcome 🥰 always glad to help
Hi , how much yarn do you used pls ? ❤
Hi! I used about 104 g yarn
How many strands of yarn did you need?
I accidentally did 40 chains instead of 45. How can I adjust to follow the graph?? 😭😭😭
I noticed that i did an even number of stitches for the first half of the red and you did an odd number which stopped my black from popping out as much because the black would be hidden behind 😢
Im contemplating undoing it because im halfway through the first eye and i cant flip it because its not as neat on the back
That's okay. It's not a mistake.
I had to stop in roll 5 do I have to buy the pattern to finish
You can download the graph for free. Link is in the description.
I wanna make thiss for my bf...how can o determine his size...😶🌫️
Please what app did you use to get the spider man graphic design
I drew it myself using stitchfiddle
@@CherilynQ alright thank you
I make 26 row but it's 4sm why😭??
how long did it take u to make it ??
3 - 4 days I think.
