Obviously there are a lot of crinkly off white things around the headquarters. Add to that those riveting three hands rotating smoothly around in a circle which is just mesmerizing. Pair that with a uninspiring same as it ever was light bracelet or strap and boom you have the three pillars of the GS brand.

they wont, its in their blood and culture to always evolve and innovate, not like this other brand i know whose sole value today is because they made it seem like theyre products are "limited". Grand Seiko might lead the market in the future, they are ahead in watchmaking aspects, they are gaining popularity as a brand, they dont just release things to stay relevant, they release things to show their levels.

    • @俊毅陳-v6p

I just picked up my first GS today in Ginza, Tokyo. The photos and videos do not do their watches justice they are just breathtaking I ended up buying the beautiful snowflake. What set them apart was the pride of craftsmanship and service I got in the store they even have a nearby museum they walked me over to. Just an incredible brand with people who have a passion for watches and treat their customers rightly so. Unlike my shit experience at the nearby Rolex AD with 8 staff who couldn’t be bothered with you because they “don’t” have inventory (unless you bribe them or buy 5 watches at a time)

The beauty of GS is the fact that there's always a lot of thought, design, and engineering involved in every watch they make. You have to do your research (or watch a Teddy & Joe video) to really appreciate the process that GS really go through when making their watches. After which, you can't help but appreciate the brand and the watches they release.

Mr Kirk does a most excellent job! A first class representative. Some absolutely beautiful watches - the Evo 9 Suwa is certainly on my short list. Nonetheless, I think GS's sports watches still lag their (lower tier!) Swiss competition: their dimensions are still too large and the legibility of the various hands is only so-so (especially the lume). That they still struggle to deliver a great diver, with all their Seiko heritage, I find ironic. I'd also like GS to look beyond dial pattern as their go-to. Some of their earlier designs were more subtle and abundance detracts.

The Grand Seiko watches are really beautiful on the eye & I also love the enthusiasm of the representative. The previous Grand Seiko review Teddy did with Joe was a great watch too. I would love to own a tentagraph one day. I am really enjoying this series of reviews with a different maker each day - keep up the great work Teddy.

A 39-40mm 200m GS quartz chronograph is something I would like to see. I have learned to love my SBGN005 quartz more than my Navitimer, Submariner, GP, and many others. I wonder if GS sees HAQ as a growth segment or not.

If that blue diver was like 2mm smaller and thinner it’d be fantastic. It seems like a diver that finally has its own personality, but at its size its not even an option

This may be kind of rude to write under a Video about Seiko watches,
but have you ever heard of the brand ''Eichmüller'' from Germany?
If not, you could take a look at them as they make great watches.
I had mine for 30 years now and It's still as great as It was on the first day

Glad to hear that they've been able to slim down the spring drive movement! A slimmer SBGE285 would make a very strong case for my first GS

That is my watch. I found it petite compared to the previous watches I have owned. I also have an Apple Watch Ultra and it makes my SBGE285 look very small.

As a noob to the watch world, Grand Seiko (and the normal Seiko) seem to tell the customer "you should spend your money on this watch because it can do xyz for you and has this really cool technology under the dial, which is really cool (inspired by the view from our parking lot obv) btw" while something 'flexy' like Rolex is busy trying to sell me on the PERCIEVED value that owning a Rolex would put on you and not the value that the actual product would give you.
As an Engineer with an MBA that's the exact kind of brand philosophy and positioning I can get behind tbf.

Hi Teddy, would like to request a video on wedding watches, particularly options for the groom. You had one 4 years ago, maybe you have more options in mind now. Looking forward to this content. Thanks and more power to your channel!

The SLGA019 is everything I could want in a GS. I love the dial! I was not a fan of the gold details on the SLGA007 and being in titanium is also a plus. Now I have to find at least 10 grand somewhere....
