Yes mam, it's celebrated on a grand and vast scale. The most beautiful memories for me is my child hood days when dad used to take us on a drive in our premier padmini fiat car for watching visarjan at Juhu and also girgaum Chowpatty... Those were amazing days. On the way we used to get darshan of soooo many Ganpati bappa ... The atmosphere in Mumbai during ganesh festival is mesmerizing. Also another beautiful and exiting memory is of visiting different ganesh pandal during ten days of the festival... This year it's not the same. But, praying to vignaharta to remove all the obstacles and forgive this mankind for all the sins conducted by us. Let humanity in his form exist all the time🙏

Lalbaugh an area in Central Mumbai there is Lalbaugh Cha Raja who is God of Mumbai. Biggest Ganesh Group. Within 10 KM area there are "25 LAKH" people (Fun fact : population of Namibia) who come on last day of Ganesh Utsav on the day of Visarjan. To give a Farewell to the dear god who was there in Mandap for 11 Days.

Lord Ganesha epitomises wisdom, knowledge and learning. This Ganesh Chaturthi, I hope and pray that he showers you with his countless blessings happy ganesh Chaturthi 🙏🙏🙏
This idol is my next door neighbour in true sense. I am 62 now. During this Ganeshotsav, there are 6 famous pandals of Ganapati and all of them more than 80 years old. But this Raja is unique on so many counts especially in terms of crowd, visits by VIPs. At least more than 5 lacs people visit a day and have the darshans of Ganapatis on these pandals. Z Category security is given to the Raja. People donate so many valuable items to this Raja which are ultimately auctioned after the immersion of this particular idol is over. The amount collected through auction runs into crores of rupees. The immersion ceremony starts around 9 in the morning but it completes the next day around the same time. The journey of around 14 to 15 kilometres is completed after almost 24 hours. The journey passes even through Muslim areas. There also, Muslim perform Pujas and ask the Idol to have the blessings. It is unique and the centre of attraction of this idol is its eyes.
