One detail a lot of Knight Rider fans often overlook is the Peter Cullen only voiced KARR in Trust Doesn't Rust and in the 2008 series...it's was Paul Frees better known as the voice of Boris Badenov on Rocky and Bullwinkle and the Narrator for Disney's Haunted Mansion the voiced him for the KITT vs KARR episode
A buddy of mine has both a Kitt & Karr replica n real life. He drives them to car shows & has them at local events. Karr is painted just like the 2 tone paint job on that toy Karr as well. :)
Personally the first episode "Trust Doesn't Rust" was the best one. You even see KARR blow up at the end of the episode. I always thought it was lame that they brought him back later on in the series. Plus I didn't like the 2 tone. It was cooler when he looked just like KITT in every way on the outside minus the front scanner. And Peter Cullen did his voice the best hands down. Just my opinion.
Trust Doesn't Rust is a good story to introduce the myth of FLAG's error and yes KARR but KITT vs. KARR is the best one as KARR is much more devious, cunning and just evil. Where as Cullen's KARR is just angry and acts like LEAVE ME Alone!!!! Frees voice was distinctive of being satanic and manipulative. Finally the two tone paint job and amber led. We now know who is who and I love KARR's.
@@digipeeper that 2toned black and Silver paint job was awesome as a kid growing up in the 80s and early 90s as a teen it still stood out especially with the tinted windows and blacked out wheels.
I always thought a blue scanner would have been even more intriguing despite some people not liking the 2toned paint job .but the amber color scanner was ok

Kool review. Enjoy the enthusiasm but hopefully World Wars and their sacrifices aren't on par with an, albeit, epic fictional villan and bad ass car. Hearing the scanner makes me think Diamond Select need to to a Cylon from BSG already do a nice 11" B9.
I hate to say it but this looks really cheap. The lower band should be silver & it sounds so plasticky when you move it. Also this painted version of KARR from the episode KITT vs KARR was voiced by someone else, thus having a deeper voice (in my opinion more menacing) but the voice in the toy sounds like the pitch has been lowered so just from viewing this review, I can say that this is a very cheaply made model. Great review though, love your style
having owned many car models its inexcusable it being full of plastic with no turning steering wheel,opening headlights or at least opening hood and trunk...the lights and voice are cool but i guess this had a significant cost...

They couldn't decide on whether to use the voice of Peter Cullen or Paul Frees so they just went with generic deep voice #4. I found one of these on eBay and thought about getting it since I have the Hot Wheels and Ertl versions. Now I think I'll just save my money...
The portrayals of Peter Cullen and Paul Frees are just too different. It would of confused less experienced fans of Knight rider if they ripped the audio from both episodes.

I saw the details of the model and had to click the video. I was enjoying the model until he activated the voice. Holy shit, that just killed this thing for me. It doesn't just sound bad, it sounds like someone trying their best to sound mean and tough. This went from a nice replica to something that shouldn't have been made. Who the hell authorized this voice? I can't take it seriously now cuz the voice is absolutely trash. Use sound clips, use Peter Cullen, for for the love of the 80s don't use this wannabe voice. It actually pissed me off just hearing it. 🤬
