I've been playing this and streaming for at least 20+ hours now since it released and can agree that this game is great! You seem to always get one thing or the other when it comes to survival/building games, it's either really great story/adventure with bad building/crafting or you get really great building/crafting and an okay or bad story/adventure. Enshrouded in my opinion has delivered on both fronts and for a reasonable price given us one of the best games to start off 2024.
this is gonna be a crazy year for gaming, this and palworld so far. hope to see more coming, its about time we get good games with actual effort put into them.
Oh yes, 2024 is starting strong! Next month Nightingale also, Light no Fire is very high on my wish list but unfortunately not releasing anytime soon :P
I personally love the magic builds. It's felt so OP, 1 shotting mobs 10-15 levels higher, healing for just being near people (healing for a LOT), doing fire damage to enemies within a radius (just walk around the map and get free XP, its dumb). I'm sure it'll get fixed at some point, I'd try it now while its hot
I like everything about the game except for the map. Mountains everywhere. No way to climb them, just run around them. It would have been nice with some open plains to build on. There are some but they are very small.
Wonderful review! I've been loving PalWorld, but Valheim is my favorite game ever,,, until I spent 15.6 hours playing this today (hooked)! The potential amount fun in Unshrouded is easily unrivaled. The exploration in this is phenomenal, as with every other aspect of it. This team managed to minimize all of the usual 'why's' that seam inevitable from most other entertainment experience's. They've succeeded in getting rid of most of the typical tropes [Like a well endowed blonde in a basement in a horror film for example) for the sake of pure fun! Thanks for your preview/review of where I'm headed next in this adventure! All survival fans should give it a chance. It's not without the usual frustrations of any new experience's learning curve, but I can't wait to see where it is in a couple of years. P:S , the interface could use some work as well as what you already mentioned
The combat almost feels like a souls like hack n slash and I’m all here for it. The combat is great mostly cause it’s fast and responsive, just lack variety. The only things I would add to make melee as viable as magic, and would like to see added as perks or baked in mechanics. Varying jump attacks (maybe with some air hang time in between attacks) Attacks with launcher properties and simple air juggling (to complement double jump users, nothing too much like devil may cry) Grab attacks that throw enemies at each other or causing an AoE around you (from poison or shrouded enemies). God of war type of grabs for different enemies after stunning them. Jumping off enemies like a spring board, either to help maneuver around mobs of enemies, clear gaps, or to drop straight back down to wallop foes. “Wall sticking” basically if your attack has enough force to send enemies flying. If they hit something like a wall, the surface will take damage and maybe terraform, and the enemy will stay “stuck” for a few seconds ( imagine potentially sending an enemy flying through a wall either revealing more exploration, or in a tower so you have an easy jump off and glide spot) For the love of god not every souls like needs a rolling dodge, give us an option that changes the rolling animation into a BLOODBORNE step dodge and roll when not locked on. Been a souls fan since demon souls and rolling was always goofy to me. This isn’t for combat but I love the glider in this game. Add a perk that lets us dash while we glide like in the [PROTOTYPE] games so we can cover more ground and maybe stay in the air longer.

multiplayer aspect is currently broken so I'm sure that one of the many things that will get fixed, along with content that get added into the game, so the early access is befitting :)
Better for them to put it out as early access and have us pay for the whole game then give us more content later down the road before full release than to put out an unfinished game, have us pay full price, then less than half a year later ask us to pay for just another piece of the game also at full price. The problem in Valheim was if you changed the voxels too much the game would halt to a crawl especially on multiplayer servers. To the point to where server admins were banning items that raised and lowered the ground. Does this game have that problem?
I think not, every time the world is reloaded or restarts, it will reset all the voxel damage except for the protected areas, so all will be restore back to original, which allows you to farm them again and it wont break the world

Personally Enshrouded tricked me into buying it with the "Multiplayer" tag. It is not a Multiplayer game; it is a Co-Op game that is tied to Server Progression and NOT Player Progression. That is bad for a few reasons a couple of which, why have a dedicated server? If you log out and others are active, you miss out on all of the content with the current progression method. Also, thieves jump into dedicated servers in groups, hit and empty out all of your Storage inventories, like running straight to them, and immediately log out after taking everything, only to do it again a couple of hours later. I could name more but will just say this, if you are like me, and have 4k hours in games like Conan Exiles, and rent and maintain a few diverse multiplayer gaming servers, stay away from this one. This game is not for you.
Maaan, my hopes for this one were so high. But... - empty world - no base raids, no point in building nice fortress - kill boss in 30 sec? wow what a challenge - kill most things in 1 arrow hit? woooow what a nice dragonlike monster. Dies in 1 hit... nevermind... Maybe I am too old to enjoy easy mode games... Will hold off until they fix broken coop and add difficulty layers.
You have not put in 20+ hours. 1000% you will find enemies that dominate your face if you explore too far without leveling or upgrading. No shot does a dragon monster die in 1 arrow. Mother Matron was an asshole of a bossfight until you figure out her patterns. Maybe your just spewing out trash. Empty world? except theres 15 map markers for quests 5 hours into the game. Kill boss in 30 sec? again havent been to the tougher fights. Kill most things with 1 arrow hit? What? lol no you have absolutely played for a very short period of time and have in no way even reached the 2nd biome. gtfo. Trash.
I dont know, doenst look good/fun to me. There is no polish, no style to the game either.. Imo its just a reskinned Conan exiles, with voxel. It just looks very generic, casual and superficial. Ill see what they do with the updates before spenidng any money on it.

This game is not for you.
i heard this game is very lacking in enemies types as most are reskined variations...and even worse only have three big bosses in this huge world...
The games literally to easy i just unlocked the first 3 survivors and killed the first 2 bosses naked inless then a hour lol
Thats just the mere beginning of it :P
Yea I'm enjoying it 😁
Valhiem had terrible combat lmao
I kinda liked it as a whole (flasks, types of weapons and armor, weaknesses etc) but yes the dodging and blocking was kinda off
The games needs a better way for the player to know the level of the quests.
My only question is why arent you playing Palworld?
Because I think it looks like a meme game with only just a couple more days of hype left :P
@@04AMofficialYou're wrong. The game is fun so far.
First time I've even heard about it
You know we live in 2024 right? :D no really, you dont want to miss this one!
@@04AMofficial when was it announced
I picked the WORST time to get valheim man, I'm never gonna have time to try enshrouded LMAO
Oh thats hard, both games are amazing but now its Enshrouded time :P
As i watch the video i see you basically just shit stomp every enemy...is combat just spam attack and stun lock the enemy?
I can confirm...just run up and swing away...enemies will just stand and take it. Refunded
Are you sure there's farming in this game?
Pretty sure after spending 70+ hours in it now and just uploading 2 Ultimate Farming guides :D
@@04AMofficial i mean farming as in crops. Turnips, food, etc.
Comment for the algorithm
Cheers!
People saying its too easy thou is it??
I like the difficulty tbh, but it should have value modifiers to make it more challenging yes!
0:20 wow you listed all the games i hate, lol
Well then I guess this game ain't for you :D
Can you dual wield 2 one-handed weapons here?
Haven't found out a way to do so yet, maybe it is there in the Talent system ^^
Maaan, my hopes for this one were so high. But...
- empty world
- no base raids, no point in building nice fortress
- kill boss in 30 sec? wow what a challenge
- kill most things in 1 arrow hit? woooow what a nice dragonlike monster.
What? lol no you have absolutely played for a very short period of time and have in no way even reached the 2nd biome. gtfo. Trash.
ok ok i'll go buy the game lol
GG
I dont know, doenst look good/fun to me. There is no polish, no style to the game either.. Imo its just a reskinned Conan exiles, with voxel. It just looks very generic, casual and superficial. Ill see what they do with the updates before spenidng any money on it.
Agreed. Feel the same about Palworld. I think people are just bored right now, being January.
We must be watching different videos. This looks awesome!
John Wick is the man 😎 Palworld looks like a meme game to me- haven't touched it and never will. I really enjoy Enshrouded though and will continue to do so ^^ appreciate the different opinions tho!
@@04AMofficial No need to hate on Palworld, it's got some stuff going for it. This game does look nice too, though. Such a shame the games released so close together
I have played palworld for 30 hours and it’s really fun, it’s not the greatest game to ever exist but it scratches a lot of itches and the overall gameplay is just straight up fun and promotes creativity which always makes games popular I feel
Terrible time to launch a survival game. It's going to be completely eclipsed by Palworld
Memegames never last long, Enshrouded is here to stay!
magic sucks, it's the only issue I take with the game so far.
Does it? Meh :/
Sad to see its overshadowed by some mediocre frankenstein surivival game with no soul
It definitely isnt ;P
@@04AMofficial the release right after palworld probably wasnt the best timing :/
the one thing i wanna know is how all these people doin tips and tricks videos and playing 60hrs all within a few hours of public release
He got early early access. NDA tend to end once game is public release so reviewers can record and edit videos for release on launch day
Exactly like therealgreg said, I had access a couple weeks ahead of release but wasn't able to talk about it until the actual release today at 4PM CET
First time, huh?
still no one can beat ARK:SA
No one? 😅
Here comes Palworld
Ark's trash. Tried to play the game as a solo player a couple years ago and I kept getting killed by players that were already a way higher level than me, causing me to literally make zero progress and uninstall the game.
@DBTHEPLUG so ark is trash bc you got ganked a few times and rage quit, got it 😂
@@DBTHEPLUG it is trash. But not for the reasons you've mentioned. You would've had a much better time in a solo world, but given survival games are better with others, I can see that
played for 10 mins, clunky, buggy. crashes. assests ripped from other games. jumping animation wtf is that? baby game
lol not even been out 24 hours yet so fake
I had access to the game ahead of release you fool :D
Guess other TH-camrs like Force are lying too ^^
It would have been insane quality AI generated footage and insanely accurate guessing on my end though if that were the case...
@@04AMofficial Anyone who mentions AI is a sheep.
@@atlantic_loveYou mentioned it so are you calling yourself a sheep, as well?
@@K09819 Nope. I'm calling anyone who supports it or pushes it a sheep. Are you a sheep?
@@atlantic_love bahhhhhhhhhh. oops that slipped out.
The graphics stutter and black boxes … wonder if it the fact they dripped the 4gb requirements?
