@@zkhess2002 I don't think so. Remember, Anne was all for humanity getting smoked out with her sisters and *ALSO* stood by when her sisters kidnapped and tortured Freddy.
Freddy really needs more credit. Standing up against Calypso’s magic and the dragons fear. Stuff even the wizard couldn’t do. He is so powerful even as a mortal in those scenes.
@@caitlynford3001 That's what he screamed when Kalypso's "say his name" was echoing in his brain..He compared it to Destiny's Child's song "Say My Name"
Also note Freddy's maturity growth. Freddy chooses not use his power against his two bullys at school. He continues to allow his to bullys to make fun of him but he no longer suffers emotionally from their abuse. That says a lot about his character. Freddy has emotionally matured so much since the 1st movie
Coming from a 28 year-old aspiring actor who was born with Cerebral Palsy, Jack Dylan Glazer's portrayal of Freddy Freeman, a handicap Superhero enthusiast in Shazam was correct, charming, and respectful. I’m so proud of how Hollywood got this right.
Jack Dylan Grazer has portrayed several characters with disabilities in his young acting career but is not disabled in real life. Nevertheless, he has done a commendable job playing those characters which have helped him showcase his extraordinary acting talents. He has also expressed delight in playing the roles, realizing their importance in mainstream media.
They literally said earlier that dragon paralyzes people in fear so they can’t move. Yep, Freddy somehow manages to overcome that . His character really did some major improvements
@@PrestigeLearning Freedy has the biggest heart. He was able to fight against Kalypso's magic and Landon's paralyzing fear because the people he loved were in danger. The kid's all heart.
Personally, I think that Freddy only got the opportunity to become that way by meeting Billy, not to say he didn't have it in him, but Billy was Freddy's catalyst to become who he is and unlock that side of him that was weighed down by him impairment and constant bullying. People change people after all, surround yourself with good people who are righteous and face danger head-on, you'll end up picking up a few of those habits.
You have to be willing to do this for absolute strangers, not just those who are the closest to you. Facing death is different than charging towards it knowing it's an absolute certainty like Billy did. Freddie may be a superhero fan but the actual life of it kind of torments him and his bravery is motivated only by loved ones rather than everyone in general, whereas Billy is ready to live that life with all its burdens wholeheartedly.
As a goddess who lived thousands of years, Kalypso is obviously not very smart because chasing after Shazam for the staff is stupid. Why not use Freddy and Anthea as hostages to exchange for the staff?
I always thought this scene was one of the most badass parts of the movie, and certainly a highlight on Freddy's end. A supernatural dragon whose key power is the ability to create irrational, soul-chilling fear, and the disabled kid and the depowered goddess both hang together and refuse to turn and run away from it.
Just shows how powerful Freddy really is. The dragon is supposed to paralyze people in fear. Even Anthea, a goddess, succumbed to Ladon’s power. But Freddy, a mortal, was able to overcome it to be by Anthea’s side. Love it 👌
@@jarekmiller4337it ain’t going happen anymore now that everything is getting rebooted anyway, so why should any of the fans care for this relationship.
How do you think Anthea is gonna be? She lost her 2 sisters, the only family she had left, even if one of them was really cruel. Even if she does like Freddy, he can never understand what she’d be going through.

Freddy has indomitable will that is why Landon’s power did not work on him
Freddy got most of the character development which I thought was cool since I wanna see a Captain Marvel Jr spinoff movie.

Given how fearless and willful Freddy is, you'd think the wizard would've chosen him over Billy. He knew who Freddy was (but kept calling him "Jeff")
