Que buen nivel que tenía el fútbol sudamericano, Internacional y Sao Paulo ganando las primeras finales, Boca jugándole de tu a tu al Milán, Liga de Quito perdiendo 1-0 gracias a dos atajadas de Van der Sar, Estudiantes a solo segundos de quedar campeón y finalmente Corinthians ganando en 2013. Ahora da chiste ver como pierden contra equipos japoneses, mexicanos y africanos

Liga jugó más "refrescado" el Mundial de Clubes; ganó la Libetadores a mitad de año y jugó el Mundial en Diciembre.
En 2015 River se enfretó al Barça que era una maquina Neymar-Suárez-Messi. Encima el primer gol del Barça debió ser anulado por mano de Messi y el segundo gol fue más error de la defensa que mérito de Suárez.
En 2018 River jugó el Mundial de Clubes sin estar en Argentina por casi medio mes. Encima audrió una gran presión mediática por la final de la Libertadores.
Eso no quita el mérito de Liga y que River pudo haber jugado mejor.
