As we have seen in this series, some of the Bible’s greatest heroes had darkroom experiences. They were developed by those painful experiences and used by God to impact their world. Today we examine Jesus Himself, the Light of the World (see John 8:12), facing off with the Prince of Darkness (see Ephesians 6:12). Five adjectives describe this confrontation, giving us insight into both the nature of temptation and the resolve of Jesus to follow His Father’s plan for saving the world.

Water baptism is essential for salvation...even Paul said it washes away our sins (Acts 22:16). The Holy Spirit, through Peter, said "repent and be baptized, every one of you...". And He said that very promise is for us alive today (Acts 2:38-39). ❤️
Then how was the thief on the cross saved? And Cornelius the centurion received the Holy Spirit and got saved before he was baptized. The water baptism was by John, for the repentance of sins, and make way for the messiah. Nothing that we do of the flesh is gona save us. It’s what Christ did for us on the cross. New Testament, (the good news), new convenant. We are not under the law, for it is by Grace only through faith alone, that you are saved, and not of your works, lest any man can boast. I believe the church age starts in Acts 15.
@@Luciacrestina The thief died while under the Old Testament covenant. Different rules than for us under the New covenant. The Holy Spirit descended upon Cornelius AS Peter began to preach (Acts 11:15). So Cornelius had not had time to have faith in Jesus yet. Was he saved without faith in Jesus? Or was it that the Holy Spirit descended at that moment in order to prove even Gentiles are to be baptized?
Water baptism is a command of God so that our sins are washed away by Jesus' blood. Baptism is obedience to Jesus' command, not a "work". Satan relabeled it. The Bible says we are baptized INTO Christ (Galatians 3:27). It's the only way the Bible says we get into Him. There is no other way.❤️
