Kenan Rainwater plays Ashes for Luke at Hard Truth Hills September 13, 2024

Luke Michael Saunders, 22, of Unionville, residing in Nevada, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 26, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nevada, in a mountain-climbing accident.
Luke was born on June 20, 2000, in Bloomington, Indiana, He is the son of Michael Saunders and Tina Skirvin. Luke was a 2019 graduate of The Academy of Science and Entrepreneurship in Bloomington, Indiana. After high school, he joined the US Air Force, where he proudly served, and was stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Luke worked as a helicopter mechanic for the Air Force with the 66 Rescue Generation Squadron. He was a member of the Little Union Baptist Church in Unionville and the Foothills Southern Baptist Church in Las Vegas. Luke was a remarkable athlete. He enjoyed the outdoors, rock climbing, riding motorcycles and four-wheelers, working out, reading, and playing video games. Luke was good with his money and became an topnotch investor. He was an amazing young man who loved his family and friends; they were essential to his life and he was essential to theirs. Luke happily listened and offered advice to anyone in need. He will be greatly missed.
