    I said it once and I'll say it again; this is by far the best chess channel on You Tube.
    Unlike all the others this one isn't based on selling us memberships anywhere or advertising their GM's or the players they have and so on.
    Quick introduction, not 30 seconds or a minute of bs. Just goes straight to business, this is just pure chess. I love it that you always go through the most important variations at just the right moment in the game plus you always explain why someone resigned by demonstrating the options they had. I would subscribe 10x over if I could. Thanks Mr. Jerry from Pennsylvania for all the work you do. Fantastic stuff.

    Best chess GM re-play video I have ever seen. No intervention during the game, (just explaining the moves that the GM's made, not the channels distracting variations. Very very important to me.), and playing out the possibilities after a resignation. By far, the best way to show a game of history.
    I nominate you personally, this guy and this vid, for the YT Pulitzer prize of, "Just show the damn game!", award. :)

    someone can explain me something? i am just a beginner and im trying to undernstand why at 1:40 he didnt put his queen in a4 and then put him in check, his queen is protected by his knight and a rook who could take the queen (if its the case) and then put him back in check, if he move his king then you take his queen.. is it me?

    • @jasonsalcedo934
      @jasonsalcedo934 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Vince, the queen check at a4 will simply lead to an exchange of queens after black captures white's queen with his own queen, which helps black and hurts white, since white's attack fizzles and black can develop comfortably.

    That's the enduring quality of Fischer that allowed the game to become a high stakes sport & accessible to the mainstream as well as allowing him to chalk up so many victories... the BEST DEFENSE is an attacking position... it makes for exciting chess & demands creativity & thinking out of the box... Fischer challenged himself more than his opponents & that drive is at the heart of what made him who he was

    At 6:30, After the Black Queen move from f8 to e7. The King should Castle to g8... (The King had not moved and I think it is actually still legit to castle). This will put White in a real bad spot...
    This can force a Queen trade eventually or otherwise gives Black an extra move that will potentially make White lose... It will take White one turn to take the Black Rook d7, but that frees all of Black pieces and gives Black an extra turn for the the Queen and Rook to move now.
    This could then take the game to a new angle... Like moving the Black Queen e7 to e8 to retrieve a piece back. Try that :)
    That move was really interesting though, like forced the opponent to clog himself up... Really nice explanation video.

      Good question! I tested this on Lichess vs. Stockfish 8, and it agrees that is the strongest move. What follows is a queen exchange welcomed by white: 11. Be3 Ng4 12. Qb6 Qxb6 13. Bxb6 dxe4
      Another move it was thinking of at 12. was simply Kh1 to remove the skewer I suppose, but after thinking a bit more it changes its idea to the queen exchange.
      Edit: Btw, for black’s move 10. it agrees with Jerry that developing the dark square bishop is best.

      Ng4 was my move, too. White retains an advantage, but with queens off the board, black can castle and has drawing chances.

      Actually, looking at position again, white is still screwed after Ng4 and the queen exchange. The light-squares bishop and queenside rook simply have no way to develop and white should cruise to victory. D5 was just flat losing.
