I don't usually comment on TH-cam, but this needed to be done. I passed my SIE this morning and it wouldn't have been possible without the help from your videos! Thank you for all you do Mr. Guru
My sponsor has me taking classes thru STC which is great but i really prefer your cadence and personality, makes it easier to actually pay attention lol. I do plan on using both.
Dean studying for my 7 right now and going back over the basics. For these questions, couldnt we just use the chart in the very beginning of the video with the 4 squares? Trying to decide when to use the "T-chart" when options get complex. Could you provide me some guidance on how to tackle the options section on the 7?
If that were true the video would have ended with just the matrix. You need to understand contract specifications and be able to track money. Check out my most recent options tutoring replay.
im confused so when you close out at intrinsic value is it the total loss or gain minus premium? as in the short call sold at 188 with an xp of 170 and a premium of 9. intrinsic value is 9?
Options have been killing me with the 7. Can anyone tell me why someone would want to sell a put or a call? Wouldn’t it be safer to always buy instead? I know there must be something obvious I’m not getting but I don’t know what I don’t know.
One reason to sell a put is to get paid to do something you are already prepared to do. For example, if I am contemplating placing a buy limit on Apple why not sell an Apple put instead.
Next Options Lecture is this 3 of 4 th-cam.com/video/35_aWxFoFt8/w-d-xo.html

It is honor that you uncloaked to comment. Thank you.
I give you some credit to me passing my SIE. Your videos are great and now I am watching them to pass my 7, then my 63. Thank you so much!
Kudos!
Great lecture, as always! Kaplan defines “extrinsic value” as the “time value”.
Glad you found it helpful.
Outstanding. Testing next week on Thursday!
Thank you.
Man, I wish I had this yesterday. I take my SIE tomorrow and this is the area I am struggling the most in.
Well good news only 3 or 4 option questions on SIE. Most are recognition
Did you pass?
Great stuff, thanks Dean!
De nada

Cool.
Same. I don’t really like the style of the stc lectures. Which is bizarre, because in grad school I always preferred the lectures to the textbook.
Thanks!
De nada. Thanks for the superchat.
Thank you Dean!

Hi Dean, at example in minute 45, safe to say that for Long Puts, Gain = (Intrinsic Value - Premium) X 100 shares ?
No. It is not intrinsic value.

Yes

@@Series7Guru An real example, perfect! That’s what I’ve been trying to find. Thanks!
I got a 69 on the 7 yesterday. 30 days to grind and pass or I lose my job 😅
Damn. That hurts for sure.
