Lynden ,wish I had you in the Caribbean,am just a saxophonist learning just off of TH-cam 😢 but your tutorial are just fantastic 👌 ...like to get in touch with you .
Hi Lester, thank you, that’s very kind of you to say. I offer zoom lessons and if you’d like to get in touch just drop me an email, lynden@saxandhoney.com. The Caribbean you say, well I’m open to being flown out there and honestly Lester, you don’t even need to get me a first class plane ticket, business class is just perfect 😂😂😂😂 🤝🤝😎😎🎷🎷
Hi Mr Linden. First of all, thank you so much for all advice 🙏 I have a lot of questions. But for now, i wonder how i find a track on the session app after i save it? If i creat some bars an press save. I don’t know how to find them next time? I look at your videos every day ❤ You are defently nr 1 to teach on you tube. I just start to lern the chords. After I saw your video about it. Thank you 🤗 Best regards from sweeden
Jimmy thank you so much, that’s very kind of you to say 🤝🤝 To find a saved track, just select any genre and any pre loaded demo. Then look at the bottom and you’ll see a square with a curved arrow coming out of it. Touch this and you’ll see “open” and they’re all in there. Does this help? 🎷🎷🤝🤝😎😎
Hi Lynden, thanks for your video's, they are very helpfull. I wonder, you often use dorian to create a minor scale from a major. Is it also possible to use dorian the other way around, to create a major scale from a minor, or is that nonsens?
Hi Bernard and thank you for the question. For me the major scales come first and are the gold standard that all other scales are compared to, so that’s how I would think about them. Does that make sense? 🤝🤝😎😎🎷🎷
Oops I forgot to ask one more thing.. I thought the minor chords aims to the natural minor scale. And I thought that you flat 3,6and 7 from the major scale🤔 To get the minor? In the video you explained it is just 3 and 7🤔 Best regards Jimmy 😊
first track is concert F minor, so, on alto, you are in D minor, Here is D dorian, ( raised 6th scale degree) D E F G A B C D now here is D Aeolian, it has a flat 6 scale degree. D E F G A Bb C D, Now here is 1 3 5 7 9 in D minor... D F A C E
@@jimmygraf hi Jimmy, C-7 only tells you about the 1st, 3rd 5th and 7th chord tones, where the third and 7th have been flattened. It doesn’t tell you about the 6th so C-7 could be the Dorian or the Relative minor (Aeolian) as both scales have the same root, 3rd, 5th and 7th. Does this make sense?
Is the soprano sax always left out? Why is that , I'm wanting to get a sax and it's between alto and soprano more soprano why is it everyone is only alto n tenor?
Hi, well I guess alto and tenor are more common or popular because they both have a range which is more middle ground than the soprano. Sopranos are harder to play because of the smaller reed. But there are lots of soprano players out there, I own a gorgeous soprano and I enjoy playing it but my tutorials are aimed at the majority of people who play alto or tenor. 🤝🤝😎😎🎷🎷
The sax is slightly sharp, never have mouthpiece pushed all the way with no cork showing. Get a real KORG tuner, I play a Mark 6 and a Meyer 7MM for 50 years now, and the mouthpiece sits on the cork exactly half way for A=440
Seriously? I’m surprised with such a wealth of experience and knowledge, you’re watching a video aimed at beginner/intermediate players. Lynden, your doing a fantastic job, keep up the good work 🎷🎷
Thanks Lynden love that sound. Great lesson..👍

@@lyndenblades so when i example reed C-7 it the chords are built from the dorian scale?
